Chapter 57: Witch’s Wonderland Plan
Witches going berserk was indeed something worth keeping an eye on. Considering Moluna and Eveum’s experiences, Ron believed that whether witches go berserk or not was closely tied to their negative emotions.
Minor negative emotions couldn’t trigger a witch’s rampage, but deep despair like Moluna’s or current anger like Eveum’s could lead to a witch going out of control.
Therefore, the next day, Ron unveiled a document with just one line: “Witch’s Sanctuary Initiative.”
Upon seeing this, Moluna and Lilian exchanged glances.
“Lord Ron, what’s this?” Moluna inquired with a crisp voice.
“Good question. It’s a plan to ensure witches don’t go berserk in the future,” Ron stated seriously. “I plan to create a haven for witches!”
Witches going berserk is too dangerous, especially if it happened in his territory. So, he needed to prepare to prevent witches from going berserk. Most people think driving away or killing a witch would solve everything, but Ron can only say they are overly naive.
Ensuring a positive atmosphere is the key. A good atmosphere could prevent witches from going berserk!
The best way was to create a utopia for witches, or at least a place with a positive atmosphere.
“Ensuring that witches won’t go berserk?” Moluna was initially puzzled but quickly became excited.
Although Moluna’s expressions changed minimally, her subtle movements revealed her happiness. The despair of being engulfed by the black mud after a witch goes berserk was something she could truly comprehend.
“After my research, I’ve concluded that the cause of a witch going berserk is negative emotions,” Ron said.
He hadn’t conducted any in-depth research—after observing two witch cases, he drew this conclusion.
“I’m sorry to interrupt you when you’re so excited,” Lilian said softly, “but this was discovered by someone else long ago.”
In fact, scholars have already studied the connection between the reasons for witches going berserk and negative emotions.
However, people generally don’t care about witches, so even if there’s such a research result, it may not hold much significance. Even the dragon race understands this principle, but witches still go berserk when they should.
It would be great if knowing this could prevent witches from going berserk. Unfortunately, things in the Dual Color Realm were not that simple.
“Ah?” Ron was surprised, “Others already know about it?”
Lilian nodded gently, “Yes, others already know.”
“Knowing it doesn’t change anything if there’s no action,” Ron pondered for a moment and continued.
“What’s the use of knowing that water turns into ice when it cools down? If you don’t actually lower the water’s temperature, it will never turn into ice.”
This straightforward analogy made Lilian’s eyes light up. “You’re right,” she acknowledged.
She hadn’t expected Ron to speak so plainly. The people in the Dual Color Realm knew the reason behind witches going berserk, but their indifference was the root cause of the witches’ unimproved situation.
“So, Mr. Ron, what do you plan to do?” Lilian asked softly.
“It’s all written here,” Ron said, slapping the paper on the table.
Moluna and Lilian couldn’t see any substantial content on the paper.
“Lord Ron, there’s nothing written on it,” Moluna remarked.
“Because I haven’t figured out what to write yet. I’ll fill it in later,” Ron explained.
Although blank now, the paper might be filled with content later.
Creating a utopia is not a simple task; it requires careful consideration. In any case, it’s better to focus on rebuilding Phoenix Town first.
Lilian sighed, feeling foolish for having expected too much from Ron earlier.
“Alright, the main agenda for today is to find Miss Eveum,” Ron said, carefully rolling up the paper. “We should visit her again to offer comfort.”
Eveum showing signs of going berserk is something Ron cannot ignore.
After Eveum’s previous berserk incident, she left behind a forest with a disturbing number of bodies.
“I hope Eveum can hold on,” Ron expressed, heading towards Eveum’s place.
However, before he could reach Eveum’s location, Loloan rushed towards him, carrying wood.
“Mr. Ron! I have something to tell you!” Loloan shouted, completely ignoring the fact that he had just hit Ron.
“Ugh! Loloan! You rascal!” Ron exclaimed in annoyance.
“Miss Eveum has come to Phoenix Town and is asking for directions,” Loloan said. “Do you want to go see her?”
“Miss Eveum has come to Phoenix Town?” Ron was surprised.
“How can such a coincidence happen in this world? They were just about to find Eveum, and she appeared at their doorstep.” Ron wondered.
“How does she look?” Ron tried to ask.
After all, Moluna mentioned that Eveum’s magic was unstable, and she could go berserk at any moment, so he needed to be cautious.
“A bit worn out,” Loloan thought for a moment and said.
“A witch going berserk at their own doorstep?! They certainly didn’t want that to happen!”
“She looks a bit worn out,” Loloan thought for a moment and said.
Eveum seemed to have dark circles under her eyes, and her condition was much worse than when she visited Phoenix Town.
“And she seems to be carrying many things with her!” Loloan said, “Maybe she’s planning to move!”
“Carrying a lot of things?” Ron was getting more confused. He found the idea of Eveum moving to be unlikely.
“Anyway, come with me. I’ll take you to find Miss Eveum,” Loloan said, “If we wait for her to find this place, she’ll be going downhill.”
With that, he turned around again, and the wood almost hit Ron again.
