“What’s wrong,Tyr?”Dragon Slayer couldn’t help but ask when he noticed Tyr’s expression change.Tyr immediately gestured for silence and then asked.
“Mr.Zack,can you tell me which country and city you departed from,the places you passed through,when you started your journey,and ideally,provide a detailed route?”
Hearing Tyr’s serious tone,Dragon Slayer couldn’t help but feel the gravity of the situation.Meanwhile,the white-haired girl who had been resting with her eyes closed nearby perked up her ears,seeming curious about what was happening with Tyr.
Zack was about to speak when Tyr suddenly took out the shadowstone from his pocket and asked.
“Do you have a shadowstone?With that,I can better understand your situation.”
“I do!”Zack quickly replied.
“Tell me the frequency!”
“Alright!Mine is 177432020.”
Without hesitation,Tyr inputted the frequency into the magic shadowstone and immediately made the call.Zack,who was already prepared,answered almost instantly as the call connected.
Zack,covered in blood,immediately appeared on the screen of the magic shadowstone.
Seeing Zack’s appearance,Tyr’s chest tightened,and he promptly said.
“Now,answer the question I asked earlier.”
“Yes,I departed from the northern part of Sis City in the Kingdom of Milik,and along the way…”
While listening to Zack,Tyr used his other hand to retrieve the map from his storage ring and quickly located the position of Sis City.At the same time,he observed Zack’s background,confirming that it was indeed a labyrinthine cave as Zack described.The thought that the bounty target could emerge from one of the tunnels at any moment to kill him sent a shiver down Tyr’s spine.Even Tyr might not be able to bear such a psychological impact.
It’s like being resigned to the fate of imminent death,but having someone raise a sword behind you,yet not striking.The torment of waiting can drive one insane!
Zack recounted all the encounters they had along the way.Tyr furrowed his brow because most of the things Zack mentioned were encountered in the Sang Zang Forest.Human knowledge about this forest was minimal,and therefore,it wasn’t detailed on the map,let alone the intricate routes within.
The cave they were in should have formed naturally,but how did Zack and the others stumble upon it?
Moreover,there were some lingering doubts in Tyr’s mind.He couldn’t help but feel confused because it seemed like a crucial piece of information was missing.This missing part prevented the entire situation from making sense.Despite his confusion,Tyr wasted no time in contacting the department head,Tiska,using the magic sound stone.
The other party picked up quickly,and their gentle voice helped calm Tyr’s slight agitation.He composed himself and continued.
“Miss Tiska,I have a request.”
“Oh?Mr.Tyr,please go ahead.”Tiska could tell from Tyr’s voice that this was urgent,so she didn’t waste any time in responding.Her straightforward reply further endeared her to Tyr.
“My friend,Mr.Zack is currently trapped on the outskirts of the Sang Zang Forest,north of Sis City.Please dispatch strong individuals to help.I will provide you with detailed directions on the way.”
“Alright.”Tiska quickly responded,then promptly used another magic sound stone to command a team of iron-level mercenaries to head swiftly towards the northern part of Sis City!
“No problem.Please provide me with the frequency of the magic sound stone for the captain of that squad.I’ll communicate directly with him to guide the way!”
Tiska nodded slightly and provided Tyr with the frequency.After that,they exchanged a few brief words before ending the call.
The next moment,Tyr contacted the leader of the iron-ranked mercenary team using the magic sound stone.The person on the other end was a female with a very calm demeanor.
“Don’t disconnect this magic sound stone.When the magic runs out,you can go to your department head for reimbursement,and I will foot the bill later.”Tyr was willing to exhaust the magic power of the magic sound stone so that he could provide the predicted address to the mercenary team leader at any time.
Once the magic power was exhausted,it would need to be recharged,and the cost incurred wasn’t cheap.So,Tyr’s offer wasn’t reckless.
The other party didn’t refuse.They kept the magic sound stone on and promptly set off towards the northern part of Sis City.
