Chapter 27: Performance
“From ten to twelve…,” muttered Tyr, meaning that their recruitment period for these days was in two-hour increments, so… Tyr surveyed the tens of thousands of examinees around him.
How could they possibly eliminate so many candidates in such a short time?

Kaga’s calm voice silenced all discussions, and everyone turned to look at each other. The seemingly frail man remained indifferent and continued.

Even Tyr twitched his mouth, but he didn’t argue about this matter. He spoke to Arena and the Butterfly of Sunflowers.

“Yes!” Butterfly of Sunflowers answered first. Arena was once again a beat slower, but before she could speak, Tyr had already moved. Butterfly of Sunflowers immediately followed suit, the poor little elf casting a haste spell in a flurry to catch up.
Dragon Slayer remained as steady as a rock, not moving at all. The two potatoes behind him were sweating profusely, wondering if their leader intended to take on the Level 6 monster alone.

The black iron cages suddenly loosened their restraints, releasing the creatures within.

“One last reminder!” Looking at the examinees on the square, terrified, Kaga said calmly.

Meanwhile, Arena emitted a sound of surprise, mimicking Tyr’s actions by using binding spells on some nearby examinees of lower levels and casually tossing them towards the monsters.
Kaga, who presided over the entire assessment, naturally took note of it. He calmly said to a white-clad staff member beside him.
“This participant with the black mask is impressive. Although his methods are not commendable, he can minimize danger to himself and his companions. He faces danger without fear and reacts faster than others by several beats. It’s fair to say he’s a genius. So, allow him to skip the rest of the assessment and enroll directly. The cracked tiles made Wind Slash Ghost and Shating Iron Sword immediately step back, fearing they might be accidentally injured by Dragon Slayer in the next moment.

Blue qi surrounded Dragon Slayer’s body as if it were substantial. In the next moment, all the qi suddenly stopped flowing and swiftly converged towards her fist.
