Chapter 37: Dragon Slayer’s Thoughts
After Rachel left, everyone dispersed in small groups from the hall. Yuehai, on the other hand, was chatting with Claude and others. Luckily, Leia and Noah were also assigned to Class Nine, so all the members of the Duke’s Manor were gathered in this class. It seemed there was a deliberate arrangement from above.
Tyr joined Dragon Slayer and the others.
However, when Dragon Slayer saw Xiaoqi, who had a somewhat familiar relationship with Tyr, he couldn’t help but squint his eyes.
“Oh my, Tyr, looks like you have good luck in romance again.”
“Ah, Dragon Slayer, you’ve got it wrong. It’s not what you think,” Tyr replied, waving his hand. After all, Dragon Slayer’s words would hurt Xiaoqi deeply if she heard them.
“What misunderstanding? I can’t believe it, just one day apart and you’ve already found such a high-quality companion. Congratulations,” Dragon Slayer seemed not to grasp Tyr’s meaning. In her eyes, Tyr’s explanation sounded like a cover-up. The words spoken now were full of sarcasm, which deeply hurt Xiaoqi.
“I’m sorry, classmate,” Xiaoqi said, holding her chest with a saddened tone.
“You should take a look at my school uniform. It’s clearly for males. Why don’t you observe someone’s identity from places other than the face? Your judgment based on appearance has hurt me deeply.”
Dragon Slayer’s eyes widened in round surprise, her silly expression almost making Tyr burst into laughter. Then, Dragon Slayer turned to Constantine beside Tyr and asked, “Male?”
“Um…” Seemingly overwhelmed by Dragon Slayer’s imposing manner, the usually lively Constantine chose to stay quiet. But when asked, he couldn’t help but respond, “Although I don’t want to believe it, it’s true.”
“Male? Male?? Male?!!” Dragon Slayer rushed to Xiaoqi’s side and grabbed her chest, making her cheeks flush, unable to help but moan.
“Hey, Dragon Slayer, this isn’t appropriate,” Tyr, noticing the stunned gazes of their classmates, couldn’t help but intervene. However, Dragon Slayer paid no heed to the people around her. With a raised eyebrow, she indeed felt no sensation in the chest area. But only after confirming the lower body did Dragon Slayer dare to believe this absurd reason.
However, Xiaoqi wouldn’t allow Dragon Slayer to continue to handle her so arbitrarily. She swiftly retreated using her speed enhancement technique, surrounded by dark elemental energy.
“Dragon Slayer, what you did is a bit too much.”
Dragon Slayer was slightly taken aback, realizing that she had been a bit too harsh. After all, this was just a classmate of Tyr’s. Why did it matter so much whether they were male or female? Thinking this, she couldn’t help but glare at Tyr, making the innocent masked boy shrug his shoulders. He hadn’t done anything wrong, so why did it feel like he had done something despicable?
“Tyr, come out with me.”
Ignoring the gazes of others, Dragon Slayer grabbed Tyr’s clothes and ran outside. Fortunately, Tyr had always diligently trained his agility. Otherwise, being dragged by Dragon Slayer for over a kilometer would have been inevitable.
As Kagura Xiaoqi straightened her clothes, she looked at the gradually receding figure of Dragon Slayer, feeling indignant. She couldn’t believe that a young girl would actually make such a violent move. On the side, Constantine blinked his eyes and waited until the pitiful Tyr, dragged by the other party, disappeared from view before he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
“Greetings, everyone. I hope you’re all doing well,” Diaz said as he approached Yuehai, Claude, and the others, while Leia bowed slightly. “Thank you, Diaz, for looking after us earlier.”
“Hahaha, what little skill do I have? It’s all thanks to Miss Leia’s own efforts.”
“Your Excellency Diaz, haha, at this moment, I should address you as Mr. Diaz, right?”
“Claude smiled, and Diaz also smiled. The two of them could be said to have become acquainted through adversity. Although Diaz had declined Claude’s recruitment, they could still meet and chat with smiles. This is the demeanor of true strength.”
“Classmate Claude, now that we’re in the same class, the competition might become even fiercer in the future,” Diaz’s words caught Yuehai and the others off guard. They hadn’t expected Diaz to consider this aspect. However, Claude’s smile remained unchanged. Although he didn’t respond verbally, the confident look in his eyes made Diaz realize that Claude was not someone anyone could easily surpass.
“Where are you staying now? By the way, Tyr is staying with me.”
“How coincidental!” Diaz widened his eyes, somewhat incredulous. Was there something behind the scenes with this dormitory arrangement?
“It’s a pity I couldn’t live in the same dormitory building as you all. However, if we must talk about coincidences, I happen to live with two of Tyr’s followers, Shating Ironsword and Wind Slash Ghost.”
What?! Yuehai was almost startled this time. How could all these over ten thousand new students end up together by sheer coincidence? There’s definitely something fishy going on here. Once or twice might be excusable, but after three or four times, who would still believe it’s just a coincidence?
However, Yuehai was unaware of this hidden reason. At the very least, it must be someone with certain authority, as student dormitory arrangements couldn’t be changed arbitrarily.
“Ooh~” Suddenly, at this moment, Leia’s face changed slightly, a detail noticed by Yuehai, yet Claude and Diaz, the two big men, were completely unaware, chatting about some of the observations and experiences at the academy.
“Sorry, I need to use the restroom,” Leia finally said, holding her stomach in pain, and Yuehai quickly supported her, saying to Claude and the others, “I’ll accompany her, you guys take your time.”
“I’ll go with her, you guys continue chatting.”
“But…” Claude wanted to say that letting two girls go out alone was too unsafe, but he was stared back by a glance from Yuehai, and Diaz chuckled to himself on the side without interjecting.
“But there are no restrooms around the Heavenly Hall, so if you really need to go, you have to leave Heavenly Street and go to Kuanhu Road.”
Under Yuehai’s sharp gaze, Claude suddenly had a moment of inspiration and thought of the crucial reason, which made Leia turn pale. Yuehai quickly spoke up.
“So we can’t linger now, let’s go first, we’ll contact the Magic Sound Stone later.”
“Alright, be careful on the way,” Claude couldn’t help but express his concern. Yuehai nodded and then escorted Leia out of the Heavenly Hall.
“Hey, hey! Claude!” Diaz called out twice, but Claude, lost in thought, only responded after a few seconds.
“What, what’s up? Classmate Diaz.”
“It’s not about me, it’s about how you’ve been lately.”
“What can I do?”
“It’s about you and Yuehai.” Diaz’s words made Claude’s face slightly change, although he felt the warmth on his cheeks, Claude still tried very hard to conceal his expression.
“What can we have? Diaz, don’t overthink it.”
“Hahaha, alright, anyway, there are still seven years, I’ll watch over you guys.”
“……” Claude couldn’t help but be speechless; during these seven years, he really couldn’t swear that he wouldn’t do anything.
After being dragged out by Dragon Slayer, Tyr was confronted by the blunt little girl with no sense of reason.
“Have you been feeling unwell recently?”
“What’s wrong? Not at all, sleeping well and eating well.”
“Your [Insight] is very strange, did you know that?”
Dragon Slayer’s words made Tyr slightly wary, but the other party continued speaking regardless of Tyr’s reaction.
“Although at that time you were so calm that you didn’t seem like a person at all, but from certain gestures, one can still see your original shadow.”
“So, what are you implying?” Tyr asked weakly, probing. Dragon Slayer crossed her arms, thoughtfully saying.
“I’m suspecting that your insight might be triggering the computational abilities existing in your brain.”
