Chapter 60: Coincidence?!
Tyr received the letter B, which corresponds to Class B in the Ninth Grade. Perhaps due to several people consecutively receiving letters, Claude, Constantine, and Kagura Xiaoqi are all in Class B.
This made the four of them share a knowing smile. They didn’t expect to be together in both dorms and classrooms.
Only when they entered Room B did they immediately become dumbfounded.
The spacious Room B is arranged with tiered seating, with the largest angle of ninety degrees on both sides surrounding the central teacher’s podium.
Unlike the red walls on the periphery of the Yusheng Tower, the floor tiles are composed of light blue agate, surrounded by meticulously carved lifelike imitation noctilucent stones, allowing for studying in class even at night as if it were daytime.
The most eye-catching features are the massive magical projection screen behind the teacher’s podium and a small-scale arena squeezed between the podium and the student tiered seating. Its diameter is approximately forty meters, surrounded by a magical combat aura overflow interception system. Presumably, this arena serves a significant purpose.
What truly dumbfounded Claude and the others was not the splendor of the classroom, but the appearance of the members inside Room B.
Yuehai, Ye Xi, Damiyala, Dragon Slayer, Neruko, Gui Dongri, Angel, Leia, Shating Iron Sword, Wind Slash Ghost, Butterfly of Sunflowers, Arena, and Diaz all appeared in front of them.
Tyr, having already seen from Yuehai’s perspective, wasn’t very surprised upon entering, but he was still puzzled.
Who exactly had brought this group of acquaintances together?
Tyr felt a hand behind the scenes slowly tightening its grip on them.
Yet, Tyr had no inkling whether this hand was merely there to shield them from the storm or to crush them into pieces.
Diaz and the others, upon seeing Tyr and the rest appear, wore expressions that confirmed their suspicions. Surely, if everyone was here, then Claude and Tyr’s group wouldn’t be absent.
“This is quite lively, isn’t it?” Constantine exclaimed happily as he walked up to them. It’s natural for one’s mood to improve when they see familiar faces all gathered in one classroom. The others shared a similar sentiment to Constantine’s, as there were no nefarious or discordant individuals among them. In terms of age, aside from Dragon Slayer, they were all roughly the same, quite young. Even the dignified lady Damiyala couldn’t help but smile at the sight of so many familiar faces.
“Surely this is the work of the god of fate bringing us together,” Constantine mused to himself, much to the bemusement of everyone else. This joker was once again indulging in his embarrassing antics in public. Couldn’t he rein it in with so many people watching? Then again, it seemed fate truly did “drag” them together.
“Speaking of which, that test the old man gave me yesterday seems to have been quite successful after we finished,” Neruko suddenly brought up, prompting everyone to turn their gaze towards the red-haired girl.
“It’s that ‘Virtual World’ system. Before, it seemed that it could only teleport people into a void space for them to battle, but because of Leilindor’s innovative technology, it sparked a heated discussion overnight. Many students went to participate in the second test of this system that very night and were immediately welcomed by those combat enthusiasts.”
“Oh? I didn’t expect that the Magic Pattern system was created by him himself. Looks can be deceiving,” Dragon Slayer commented indifferently. Despite calming down about Leilindor’s words from yesterday, Dragon Slayer couldn’t help but feel annoyed whenever he thought about it, so naturally, his impression of the old man wouldn’t be too good.
“Neruko, what time did you go to sleep yesterday?” Gui Dongri asked softly at this moment, her delicate appearance prompting Neruko to pounce on her, rubbing her face against hers incessantly.
“Of course, it was at three o’clock. I always sleep at that time.”
The whole room erupted in astonishment. Remembering that it took them a quarter of an hour to travel from the rest area to Zone Nine even by flying train, another quarter of an hour by power car, and ten minutes to walk in, it was now just after eight o’clock. Doing a quick calculation, even if Neruko fell asleep immediately at three o’clock, she only had four hours of rest time. And this was according to her already set biological clock…
Powerful individual.
Even Diaz admires it. At the very least, if he doesn’t sleep for more than six hours, he’ll feel listless all day.
As for Tyr, needless to say, he falls asleep promptly at nine o’clock and wakes up at seven the next day, having slept a full ten hours.
Even more impressive is Kagura Xiaoqi. This guy has some serious morning grumpiness. One morning, when Constantine went to wake him up, he ended up being locked in the “Black Pond House” for a full ten minutes.
That grim scene made Tyr and Claude dare not approach each other.
“When it comes to sleeping, Dragon Slayer, what were you doing out at midnight last night? Don’t you know there are dangerous men around at that time?” Damiyala smiled with narrowed eyes, a look that made Dragon Slayer snort.
“Just out for my morning run. Did you think I’d sleep like a dead pig, like you?”
This remark seemed to insult a part of the people present, including Tyr Yuehai. Dragon Slayer immediately sensed that something was wrong and quickly corrected himself.
“You’re the pig!”
“Oh my, Dragon Slayer, using such language isn’t good. So, where did you finally run off to? I recall you didn’t return until seven o’clock.”
“To the back gate of the academy.”
Everyone immediately fell silent, then one by one, they looked at Dragon Slayer with strange expressions.
The back gate of the academy is in the twenty-second school district, right? How far did Dragon Slayer actually run!
“But going to the back gate, I saw something interesting.” Dragon Slayer smiled faintly at this point, naturally arousing curiosity from Tyr and the others. However, those more familiar with Avalon, like Damiyala, remained relatively composed.
Seeing that he had piqued their interest, Dragon Slayer no longer teased and calmly said.
“The Celestials were guarding there.”
“The Celestials?” Some were puzzled, including Tyr, while others showed astonishment. Constantine knew it was time to contribute and quickly explained.
“The Celestial Race, living in the central region of the Sang Zang Great Forest, each Celestial being born with the strength of a celestial emperor. Moreover, they have huge bodies, with adult Celestials reaching nearly a hundred meters in height. Additionally, they have pure white wings on their backs resembling angels, hence they are called Celestials. But imagining Celestials guarding the back gate, just thinking about it feels formidable!”
“That’s right, and from what I know, although the Celestials of Sang Zang don’t have any animosity towards humans, their prideful nature makes them disdainful of interacting with humans. It’s truly impressive to be able to command two clearly peak demigod Celestials to guard a mere back gate.” Dragon Slayer was clearly startled by these two Celestials at the time, or else he wouldn’t have made such a remark.
