Chapter 11: Who said I only bought one swimsuit?

Afterward, the “lifeguard” was furious.

Sitting on the sofa in the hotel, arms crossed, he remained silent.

Before the silence, Mr. Casmode had angrily condemned it as an immoral act, a tarnishing of his sincere intentions, and a childish behavior unbefitting a two-hundred-year-old dragon matron.

Miss Melkvi knew she was in the wrong and listened respectfully to Mr. Casmode’s reprimand.

After the lecture, Leon fell into silence.

Rosvitha guessed he was probably, maybe, almost certainly, eighty percent sure that he was angry because she had never really seen Leon lose his temper with her before.

Recalling her own mood swings during pregnancy, Leon had always been patient and comforting. Even when she occasionally threw little tantrums at him, he always took it in stride and never added fuel to the fire.

So… the Silver Dragon Queen decided to try something she had never done before in her life: cheer up a male.

She walked to the sofa and looked at the silent Leon.

Leon glanced up at her but quickly turned his head away, ignoring her.

“You…”

The queen opened her mouth, and she had plenty of sweet, flattering words to make him happy.

But when the words reached her lips, she couldn’t bring herself to say them, as if some invisible force was suppressing her.

After thinking it over, Rosvitha finally squeezed out a sentence,

“You… cheer up, okay?”

Leon: ?

Whether or not this sentence made Leon happy was unknown, but it certainly almost made General Leon laugh out of anger.

“What are you trying to do?” Leon asked.

Rosvitha waved her arms. “Isn’t it obvious?”

“Obvious what?”

“I’m trying to cheer you up.”

“…”

Leon closed his eyes, raised his hand to rub his temples, and sighed, thinking that if Her Majesty the Queen doesn’t know how to cheer someone up, it’s better not to try, or else she’ll just embarrass herself.

“So, are you happy now?” Rosvitha asked earnestly.

Leon looked at her again, used his fingers to pull up the corners of his mouth, and made a very stiff smile. “Happy, very happy.”

“But I think you’re lying.”

“Wow, Your Majesty, you’re so smart.”

“Then, in light of my intelligence, don’t be angry anymore.”

“…”

At that moment, Leon seemed to have an epiphany.

Rebecca always called him a dumb straight guy, and it seemed there was some truth to it.

In his twenty-three years of life, not only had he failed to understand women’s thinking, but now he was also completely baffled by a female dragon’s logic.

Perhaps all female animals in this world practiced a period of ‘assertive and irrefutable logic’ while still in the womb.

For example, accepting your gift ≠ agreeing to a romantic relationship;

Or, having a child with you ≠ confessing love to you;

Although the former hasn’t happened between Leon and Rosvitha, it is quite common among young people.

As for the latter, Leon might not fully agree with it, but it still aligns with the assertive and irrefutable underlying logic of that mother dragon, doesn’t it?

Just like the current “I’m so smart, so don’t be mad.”

It seemed completely unrelated (and in reality, it truly was unrelated), but in Rosvitha’s mind, there must be some logic to it, right?

Leon scratched his forehead, spread his hands, and said, “It’s one thing for our daughters to mess around, but why are you joining them?”

“What did I do? I just pretended to faint.”

“It’s not about pretending to faint. It’s about trust between people.”

Her beautiful eyes flickered as she replied, “I’m not a person.”

“?”

“I’m a dragon.”

“……”

In just a few short sentences, Leon was rendered speechless by Rosvitha three times.

If she had any armor-piercing enchanted gear, she could trigger the “silent and defenseless” effect on Leon right now.

But Leon wasn’t really angry. He just felt like he had been tricked by this female dragon once again.

However, unlike before, she didn’t jump out and mock him with “Ha ha, you fell for it again! You can’t beat me!” Instead, she showed a hint of guilt over the matter.

Leon decided to take this rare opportunity to reel in this big fish, Rosvitha.

But perhaps General Leon was overthinking it.

When it came to cheering people up, Rosvitha was like a clueless fish that didn’t even know how to bite the hook.

She could only coax Leon into eating carrots, eggplants, or doing his homework with her.

Leon now wished that when a child was born, their personality wouldn’t be inherited from their mother but rather taken away from her.

That way, Rosvitha wouldn’t be both manipulative and naive, tormenting Leon’s sanity.

“I’m telling you!”

With a loud smack, Rosvitha slapped the coffee table.

Leon was startled, snapping back from his wandering thoughts.

He stared blankly at Rosvitha, wondering why she had suddenly raised her voice. Wasn’t she just trying to cheer him up meekly?

Seeing that she had his attention, Rosvitha put her hands on her hips, swayed her silver tail, and looked him straight in the eye,

“Given an inch, you want a mile, huh? No matter how I try to cheer you up, it’s not working, is it?”

“Miss Dragon, is it possible that I haven’t said more than ten words from the beginning till now…”

“I don’t care! You’re just getting cocky, Casmode!”

Ah, women. Predictable yet always unexpected.

Leon slumped hopelessly on the sofa, suddenly recalling something his master had once told him.

His master had said, “When a woman is trying to cheer you up, you’d better give her a smile within three sentences.”

Naive Leon had asked why.

His master replied, “Because if she can’t cheer you up in three sentences, you’ll have to start cheering her up instead.”

However, Leon thought he probably wouldn’t have a chance to cheer Rosvitha up now.

She drew the curtains, took off her shoes, and turned on the hotel’s romantic ambient lighting.

Suddenly, the room was filled with a suggestive orange glow, casting soft shadows on Rosvitha’s smooth, pale shoulders, making them look even more delicate.

Her slightly angry but beautiful face slowly moved closer, inching towards Leon.

Her slender, fair index and middle fingers turned into a pair of “long legs,” playfully stepping one by one along the back of the sofa until they reached Leon’s neck.

No matter how you looked at her features, they were stunning. Even without any expression, hers was a truly perfect face. And when she wanted to seduce her captive into surrender, the allure on that perfect face was even more enticing.

Right now, she had more than just allure; there was also a trace of inexplicable anger.

This scene reminded Leon of when he had just awakened from a two-year coma. Rosvitha had often forced him to do his assignments with this same sulking expression.

But now, feeling like he was reliving last season’s memories, Master Leon was confident and unfazed.

Leaning back on the sofa, he glanced at Rosvitha’s casual slip dress and then snorted coldly,

“I don’t feel anything, Miss Dragon. With just this, you can’t shake the resolve of a dragon slayer.”

“Oh? So confident?”

“Of course.”

“What if I put on… the new swimsuit I bought?”

Leon blinked, feeling even more smug, “That one-piece swimsuit that covers you up from head to toe? Even if it had two pounds less fabric, it wouldn’t stir me!”

Rosvitha raised her lovely eyebrows and gently leaned her soft body against Leon’s chest. She looked up at him, a mischievous smile on her lips,

“Who said I only bought one swimsuit?”

“Huh?”
