Shut up, malevolent dragon! I don’t want to have any more children with you V2C73 Part 1

Chapter 73: I swear by my love for donkeys (Part 1)

The first person Leon thought of was his master, the old man.

In this timeline, where Leon wasn’t around, his daughters learned about his true identity and things from his past.

It was also very likely that Rosevitha had told them about the master.

And since the Gate of Nine Hells was originally a gift from his master to Leon, it made sense that the girls could have contacted the master in those eight years through various means.

“Yep.”

Aurora said, “Someone you’d never expect, Dad.”

Leon blinked, guessing, “Is it an old man named Tiger Lawrence?”

“No, not Grandpa Tiger.”

Grandpa Tiger.

That affectionate title cleared up a lot of things and confirmed for Leon that his daughters had indeed met the master.

But this also raised another very important question:

What had happened to the master, Rebecca, and Martin?

Twenty years had passed—had they left the empire, or… had something bad happened to them?

Leon’s expression suddenly grew serious as his thoughts reached this point.

Aurora seemed to notice her father’s concern and quickly added, “The last time I saw Grandpa Tiger was a few years ago. He’s quite old now, so he couldn’t stay active in the empire. Grandma Charlotte took him back to her homeland.”

Charlotte was Leon’s master’s wife.

So, does this mean that over the past twenty years, the master and Rebecca have been secretly causing trouble in the empire?

The fact that the old man didn’t grab his sword and charge at the Dog Emperor after learning that his disciple had been sucked into a spatial rift proves how much his temper had mellowed.

In his younger days, stirring up chaos throughout the empire wouldn’t have been enough for him to vent his anger; he wouldn’t have stopped until something big went down.

“If it’s not my master, then who’s this great teacher of yours?”

Anti Isha? Rosevitha’s grandmother?

But none of them seemed like they’d be particularly skilled in body techniques.

“Claudia Poseidon.”

At those words, Leon’s thoughts wandered back to the past.

He had a very strong impression of that unusually special surname.

Rosevitha had once told him that Poseidon was the royal family name of the Sea Dragon clan.

Claudia was also the author of the Treaty of Nine Hells.

Damn!

The author herself came down to teach you?

Other people invoke deities before battles for good luck or psychological comfort; But you? You summoned the actual deity, didn’t you?

“After Mom fell into a coma, Anti and Sister Shirley took care of us for a long time. Of course, after we disbanded the Silver Dragon clan, many of Mom’s subordinates chose to stay and defend us.”

Aurora crossed her arms, leaning on the stone table as she spoke slowly.

“But the empire’s pursuit of the Silver Dragons never stopped. At first, we thought they wanted to silence us, but even after they learned that Mom had fallen into a coma, they didn’t stop. So, there must be some other reason behind all this that we don’t know.”

“Aunt, Sister Shirley, and Sister Milan all died protecting Mom and us.”

“Great-grandmother wasn’t a combat-type dragon, so she could barely hold off the empire’s assaults.”

“Aunt Isha’s Red Dragon clan also got caught up in the chaotic war. They wanted to help, but they were powerless.”

“So, Great-grandmother, my sisters, and I kept running, but in the end, we still couldn’t escape the empire’s and the dragons’ joint siege.”

“In our moment of deepest despair, Claudia from the Sea Dragon clan appeared, saved us, and brought us to this hidden underground space.”

“After we rested for a while and confirmed that the enemy wouldn’t find us here, Great-grandmother set out on a journey alone to find a way to wake Mom up. Meanwhile, Claudia took care of us and taught us various survival skills.”

“It was during that time that she taught me the techniques of the Gate of Nine Hells.”

After hearing Aurora’s story, Leon rubbed his chin, frowning in thought.

“So, Great-grandmother knew this Claudia?”

“Nope.”

“And she trusted you with Claudia anyway…”

“By then, we had already been with Claudia for some time. If she’d wanted to harm us, she would’ve done it long before Great-grandmother left.”

Aurora said, “Besides, everything Claudia did after that proved she truly had our best interests at heart. She taught me the Gate of Nine Hells, and she also guided Big Sis in illusion magic and helped Second Sis awaken her twin powers.”

“Wow, this kind-hearted Sea Dragon sure is multi-talented,” Leon couldn’t help but be amazed.

Body techniques, illusions, magic—she could do it all. And she taught it all so well.

Noa’s mastery of illusion magic had certainly reached an impressive level, with the illusion over the boulder at the cave entrance being the best example.

“Why did Claudia help you? Did you ever ask her?”

Leon had always been curious about this Sea Dragon.

Rosvitha had told him the Sea Dragons hadn’t meddled in worldly affairs for over thirty years.

Yet when Leon’s master learned that Leon couldn’t control magic anymore, he casually pulled out a body technique manual created by the Sea Dragons, the Gate of Nine Hells, for him to practice.

After Leon disappeared, this same Sea Dragon had gone out of her way to rescue his daughters, not only saving them but also becoming their teacher.

Who exactly was this benevolent Sea Dragon, and why did she keep helping Leon’s family?

“Of course, we asked. But Claudia only said she was helping us on someone else’s orders,” Aurora replied.

Leon thought for a moment. “Do you have a picture of this Claudia?”

“Em… Oh! Yes! Moon secretly took one back then.”

With that, Aurora dove into a nearby crate of miscellaneous items and started rummaging through it.

After a while, she walked back to Leon with a yellowed photo in her hand, handing it to him.

Leon took the photo and looked at the person in it.

It was a side shot.

A beautiful woman, still graceful with age.

Leon studied it carefully for a while, muttering, “I feel like I’ve seen her somewhere before…”
