Chapter 7: This is My Plan!
This time, the Phylin tribe came to confront the group of robbers, rumoured to be the least formidable bunch. Their leader was probably only at the third level, relying on a strategy of overwhelming numbers to handle the situation. If they were at the fourth level, this plump Phylin tribe would likely have only one outcome if they all charged—no return.
At this point, Ron must admit that old man Susu’ya was clever, targeting the weakest. If the Phylin tribe manages to deal with this band of robbers, although it would anger other robber groups, they would also be somewhat wary of the Phylin tribe’s combat power. After all, who could have imagined such a group of little beings could resist these robber bosses?
Knowing that crabs could pinch, assess whether you might get pinched next time you catch crabs.
“Shh, this time, our strategy is absolute secrecy,” Ron crouched behind a rock, advising the Phylin tribe.
Since Old Man Susu’ya thought Loloan’s brain wasn’t functioning well, he appointed Ron to lead the other Phylin tribe members. Meanwhile, Moluna quietly squatted beside Ron like a mascot. Nowadays, her dressing style was gradually approaching the witch that Ron imagined.
A white robe, a distinctive wide-brimmed pointed hat, and those knee-high boots—basically, every detail hit Ron’s sweet spot. However, it would be better if she had a bit more expression. Currently, Moluna only showed a smug expression when taking credit. As for the dragon maid, Ron had strongly requested her to stay in Windbird Town.
The last time so many guards chased them, it ultimately boiled down to Lilian’s issue. This maid didn’t know the meaning of being low-key when facing opponents weaker than herself. It would be fine if she would lend a hand to help Ron, but the problem was she always stood by and watched.
Ron urgently needed a coin to stimulate Lilian’s enthusiasm. If he didn’t pay her salary soon, this dragonmaid would remain indifferent. Of course, he was not sure if Lilian would help him even after he paid her salary.
There was another thing – Ron still didn’t understand the value of a gold coin in the Bi-coloured Realm.
“Now, let’s confirm the preparations before the battle,” Ron lowered his voice, “Moluna, can you summon a water cannon?”
Moluna nodded gently and then demonstrated a water pistol for Ron on the spot. After doing this, she proudly raised her eyebrows, asking Ron if she was impressive. Ron silently gave Moluna a thumbs up in appreciation.
“Do you all still remember the plan?” Ron looked at the Phylin tribe surrounding him and asked.
“We remember!” The Phylin tribe said in unison.
“Very good. First, Loloan, you take care of the bandits at the entrance.”
“At this point, when the main force of the bandits hears the commotion, they’ll rush out. Moluna, use the water cannon on them.”
“Then, with some people, we’ll sneak into the cave and take care of everyone except the bandit leader.”
“In the end, the lone bandit leader will be at our mercy.”
Ron thought, his plan is good because he can’t develop a better one. His strategic thinking is at this level, and even if anyone criticizes him, his strategic thinking willn’t suddenly improve. If you insist that he lacks intelligence, he can only admit it!
“All right, it’s happening now,” Ron noticed a few robbers passing by and said, “Loloan, go!”
As Ron spoke, Loloan, accompanied by some Phylin tribe members, leapt onto the rocks, emitting wild cries like savages.
“Let’s give them a taste of our strength!” Loloan raised his spear and charged forward.
Though the Phylin tribe’s average combat ability was low, their numbers made it a non-issue. There were eight Phylin tribe members, and one of them could easily kick these three lost bandits to death. Moreover, Loloan’s combat prowess was formidable, a truly deserving title of the town’s strongest warrior.
Of course, this “strongest” is a Windbird Town Phylin tribe-exclusive version.
“Phylin tribe? Have these guys gone mad?” The bandits were initially bewildered as the Phylin tribe charged towards them.
Since the Phylin tribe was usually bullied, few had witnessed their strong resistance. He wouldn’t pay too much attention even if he heard that cotton candy was sticky.
“You go back quickly and tell the boss that these Phylin tribe folks have gone crazy!”
One bandit hurriedly reported back while the remaining two prepared to confront these unruly individuals.
“Remember our name! We’re called Loloan!” Unexpectedly, Loloan’s spear easily pierced through the bandit’s knife, stabbing him through. Without a certain level of strength, battles could end abruptly, like now.
“Charge! Let’s take down one… one carrot first!” Loloan wanted to say a word but forgot, so he made up something random.
As long as others understand, these details don’t matter.
“Boss! Boss!”
“What’s up? Did you find that guy’s book?”
The bandit leader thought it was about the book worth a few gold coins, becoming overjoyed.
“No, it’s not about that book! It’s the Phylin tribe!”
“What happened to the Phylin tribe? Did they come out of the cave?”
He clicked his tongue, instantly losing interest.
For him, the Phylin tribe’s affairs were less important than those few gold coins.
“Yes! The Phylin tribe came out of the cave! And they’ve gone mad, attacking us outside!”
“What?” The bandit leader abruptly said, “Who gave them the courage?”
“Don’t know, but it should be resolved soon. There are only a few of them.”
Although his subordinates appeared reassuring, the bandit leader instinctively felt things weren’t simple. The Phylin tribe had always lived in caves to avoid them. There was no reason for them to attack suddenly. It was like a group of rabbits unreasonably challenging a pride of lions. It didn’t make sense.
What gave these reserve food bears the heart and courage to act like leopards?
“Take me to see what’s going on.” He stood up, ready to investigate.
But as he was led to the entrance of the cave, the next second, he got hit by a water cannon, and his entire body was pushed backwards.
He wiped the water off his face, looking puzzled, “Water?”
When he stood up, wanting to see what exactly had knocked him down, another shot of a water cannon came his way.
“What on earth is this!” The bandit leader was furious.
