Chapter 13: It’s Time for Him to Face Reality
“Oh, so this is the leader of the bandits.”
Doran adjusted his hat and gazed at the bandit leader in surprise. He distinctly remembered this man. After all, when he was bound in the cave, he had seen this face numerous times.
“How did you manage to capture him? It’s incredible.”
The once confident bandit leader now bore the marks of a severe beating.
“If you hand him over to the Empire, you might even get a decent reward.”
Doran stood at a distance, hesitant to approach the bandit leader. No choice. The bandit leader left an indelible bad impression on him when he was tied up. Doran always felt this guy would inexplicably break free and cause trouble.
“You’re the leader?” Ron looked at the suspended bandit leader with mixed emotions.
Ron doubted the guy’s identity, but Moluna and Loloan were confident, and the guy admitted his identity.
The original plan was for his group to encounter the bandit leader and overwhelm him with numbers. But the boss slipped through and ended up on Moluna’s side.
In his imagination, Moluna’s side shouldn’t be able to defeat the bandit leader. However, there were so many of these bandit leaders. Couldn’t they beat Moluna with a group of Phylin people?
“Let me go! Otherwise, I’ll make you regret it!” Despite feeling dizzy from being suspended, the bandit leader still cursed.
“Wow, do you even know what situation you’re in?” Ron couldn’t help but sarcastically comment.
How could this bandit leader still be so arrogant? Hasn’t he realised who’s around him?
These were all chubby Phylin people. He didn’t even have a subordinate. One kick from each of them could probably kick him to death. Ron felt he could ask the bandit leader to reorganise his words, “Reorganize your words?”
“Do you think that other bandit groups won’t find out by dealing with us like this?” The bandit leader squeezed out these words.
He felt uncomfortable but still held his breath as if trying to act tough.
But Ron directly placed his big sword before the bandit leader, “What will happen if they find out?”
First, to clarify, Ron wasn’t threatening him. He simply found it tiring to hold the sword like that.
However, the bandit leader was clearly frightened by the big sword. It was much more intimidating than the wooden spears of the Phylin people.
As a deserter who became a bandit in the Wind Veil Basin, to be honest, he couldn’t really act tough. All he could say was that his body muscles looked quite tough.
“They’ll know you conspired with these Phylin people to deal with us. They’ll spare no expense to deal with you in return.”
The bandit leader was initially a bit timid, then spoke menacingly, “Release me now, and there’s still room to negotiate.”
Now, he could only hope that the people before him would feel threatened and obediently release him.
“After all, he had tried many times and couldn’t free himself. The rope was tied tightly.”
“Heh, do you think so little of my intelligence?” Ron looked at the bandit leader strangely. “Look at my sword, then say it again?”
Ron didn’t believe that releasing the bandit leader now would improve his attitude. Of course, what the bandit leader said was very likely to happen. Other bandit groups might use this as an excuse to kill these Phylin people, which was not surprising at all.
“So many?” Ron couldn’t help but ask. He had a bold method to get rich.
If he could capture all those bandit leaders and hand them over, wouldn’t the first bucket of gold for his territory be at hand?
Even if Ron lacked professional knowledge, he knew that the expenses of a territory were absolutely significant, and using an average family as a benchmark wouldn’t suffice.
“Hmm?” Suddenly, Ron had a bold idea.
“Have you robbed many people?” Ron asked directly.
Previously, when he stealthily entered the cave, he didn’t see anything resembling a pile of treasure, hence his confusion.
“If you had seen it before, you wouldn’t be asking this question now. You would have already instructed the Phylin tribe to confiscate the treasure.”
“Heh, what are you thinking?” The bandit leader sneered.
That was his capital for a comeback, and not even the sword in Ron’s hand could force him to speak.
Ron shook his head. He felt it was necessary to make the bandit leader understand the current situation.
“Moluna, wake him up with water,” he waved his hand, deciding to let Moluna take the stage.
Moluna nodded gently. Ron had given the order, and the mission must be accomplished. Then, she conjured a water sphere the size of a person.
