Chapter 4: Separation (Dual Storyline Begins)

Claude reluctantly tugged at the corner of his mouth, but what caught his attention was the touch of a warm stream on his left hand, which was keeping the girl’s body from falling off the horse.

“Hmm?” Claude raised his left hand and saw the transparent liquid flowing on it.

“What’s this?” Claude wondered aloud, suddenly becoming alert, Could it be tracking fluid?

It was rumored that the ancient Eastern assassination tracking technique could attach solid, liquid, or even gaseous substances to others’ bodies, allowing for faint detection even at a great distance.

The girl in front of him was so beautiful, and her attire was also unusual. With such a background, the possibility of being assassinated by someone was not nonexistent.

Claude’s expression turned serious, yet he couldn’t be certain if this transparent liquid was indeed a tracking substance. Rumors had it that tracking liquid tasted as bitter as tears, so the only way to confirm was to taste it.

Claude narrowed his eyes, about to extend his tongue to taste it, when Leia, who witnessed the scene, suddenly noticed something. She looked again at the girl’s soaked pants, her face immediately flushed red with embarrassment.

“Master Claude!”

This sudden cry startled Claude, causing him to immediately scan his surroundings, but he found no signs of ambush.

“What’s wrong?”

Leia, seeing the confusion still evident on the other side’s face, couldn’t help but blush even more. Awkwardly, she pulled the girl from Claude’s horse to her own mount, her face showing a hint of annoyance as she struggled to find the right words.

“You, you big pervert!”

Claude became even more confused. Leia was a well-mannered and polite lady; how could she say such a thing, especially to him?

However, when he saw the girl’s trousers soaked, Claude froze in that moment.

Then, he petrified.

“Hmph.” Leia knew this was very disrespectful behavior, but how could she overlook such a low-level mistake from the young master, especially when she had other feelings towards Claude that added to her dissatisfaction.

“You idiot!” With that, she took out a windbreaker from her backpack and covered the girl with it. Then, she turned the horse around and headed back, leaving behind the disheveled Claude in the wind and the somewhat meaningful gesture of Laogeri.

The knights behind had never seen such a scene before. They were all completely puzzled, looking at each other, as they had never seen the young master Claude so surprised. However, when they saw the girl Leia was carrying on her horse, they all froze in place, their posture no less stunned than Claude’s petrified one.

“Oh my, oh my! Brother, did you see that?”

“That… that must be an angel!”

“No, it must be a reincarnated goddess!”

“I, I, Jack, in this lifetime, to see such a beautiful scene, die without regrets!”

“Sob sob~ Being alive is so wonderful!”

“Thank the great Almighty, thank the Goddess of Beauty!”

Leia walked through the crowd, listening to the howls and cries of the men behind her, couldn’t help but pout in annoyance.

“Ugh, men are all a bunch of idiots!”

Meanwhile, Claude remained petrified, and the transparent liquid in his hand dripped onto the horse’s back with a pattering sound.

Wise Laogeri shook his head and, with the eyes of someone who had been through it, patted the handsome young man’s shoulder.

“Don’t mind.”

―――――――――――Male Divider―――――――――――

“Ah,” Tyr watched as the knight in golden armor departed, and he suddenly emitted a groan.

Ignoring whether the wound would worsen, Tyr lifted his legs and, like a mad dog, plunged into the woods.

Although that blonde jerk didn’t seem intent on killing him, he might change his mind, or perhaps he’d delegate the task to some underlings, which would be truly perilous!

As Tyr dashed desperately through the forest, he was covered in wounds from countless thorns, vines, and branches, but he couldn’t afford to care about them. As he kept his head down and ran, he noticed that his view from one eye, the side where the girl was, was pitch black—it seemed she had passed out. If she had still been awake at that moment, perhaps he wouldn’t have ended up in such a sorry state.

“Ah, I’m sure I’ve been exposed!”

Tyr, feeling ashamed, ignored the pain, though he was already unconscious as the girl. But he absolutely couldn’t ignore the urge to urinate; in Tyr’s mind, wetting oneself was something only children and cowards did!

“This is really terrible. Who on earth is that blonde bastard? He didn’t say a word before chopping people, and he even took the other me away. Could he… could he be a thief?!” Tyr’s heart tightened suddenly. If it was indeed a thief, seeing such a beautiful girl would make anyone’s appetite whetted. Thinking of this, Thiel’s face turned pale, and he couldn’t help but clench his buttocks, feeling extremely uncomfortable.

I hope I won’t be subjected to such things, those kinds of things!

No, no, no, no, no.

“Judging from their attire, they should be from some formal military force. Although that guy’s gaze was terrifying, it didn’t evoke a sense of disgust. These people should be a type of, what was it called?”

After thinking for a while, Tyr still couldn’t recall the word “knight.” All he could do now was hope that reality wasn’t too far from his thoughts.

Feeling once again that no one was chasing after him, Tyr slowed his pace. He looked at his slightly swollen left arm and quickly tore off a strip of cloth from his garment to bind it.

“It’s important to stop the bleeding and prevent infection.” Tyr didn’t know why he had this thought, but he just felt that not doing so would lead to irreversible consequences. Perhaps it was some residual common sense lingering in his memory, like knowing a tree when he saw one; some fundamental knowledge hadn’t been lost.

As he bound his arm, Tyr began to worry again.

“This way, won’t the distance between me and the other me grow wider? I don’t know if this distance will affect our future actions. The other me is now unconscious, so even if I want to go back to him, I don’t know where to start.”

It’s really troubling. Although he finds having a female body very inconvenient, there’s always a feeling that if that side dies, this side of himself might not survive either. So, he’s still very worried. He only hopes that the other him will have better luck and be saved by a handsome, upright fellow with no human feelings whatsoever.

Although expecting no emotions might be a bit unrealistic, it’s not necessarily impossible, haha.
