Chapter 8: Yuehai
Moving her body slightly, it seemed she wasn’t bound. Judging from the surroundings, the person wasn’t likely a thief; moreover, the room she was in was exquisitely luxurious. She refused to believe that a thief could possess such a noble room.
Moreover, from this, it could be inferred that the blond fellow’s status wasn’t low. He was probably young and likely the descendant of some important figure.
Yet, as the girl was lost in such wild thoughts, a clear and crisp voice suddenly sounded beside her ear.
“Are you awake? How do you feel physically?”
The girl turned her head at the sound, and before Tyr’s eyes stood a girl with long hair as fiery red as flames. According to Tyr’s sense of aesthetics, such a girl could already be classified as top-tier. Coupled with her graceful figure, anyone would probably feel a wave of astonishment. The key point was the unique temperament she possessed, a kind of boldness that wouldn’t exist on a fragile woman, her gaze sharp as a sword, bright and piercing.
As Tyr’s eyes lit up at the sight, a faint fragrance wafted over, causing the girl lying on the bed to involuntarily show a look of enjoyment.
啊
“Ah.”
Now doesn’t seem to be the time to be distracted, the main task is important.
Tyr immediately realized, sighed inwardly, realizing that time was of the essence, he promptly spoke up.
“That, I’m…” Tyr’s voice was hoarse as she attempted to speak half a sentence. She had intended to express some confusion, but in the eyes of the other girl, it seemed like a display of fear and apprehension, evoking pity.
The redhead couldn’t help but gently stroke her head, following the flow of her long hair tenderly.
“It’s okay, everything has passed.”
Ah, the girl Tyr was taken aback, feeling like the other party seemed to have misunderstood something serious. But regardless, she set that aside for now. More importantly, she needed to further understand her current situation.
“Excuse me, who are you, and where am I now?” Tyr asked politely.
The other person seemed so gentle; they didn’t seem like someone who would refuse such simple questions. So Tyr pressed on, asking two questions in a row.
Just as Tyr had thought, the person smiled slightly, running their fingers through Tyr’s jet-black hair before speaking softly.
“I’m Leia, Leia Victor. Just call me Leia,” the person said with a smile.
“And as for where we are…” Leia paused, her expression suddenly becoming proud. Even her already straight waist seemed to straighten further, but what caught Tyr’s attention was the sudden movement of her chest as she spoke.
“This is the esteemed Duke Hillel’s mansion. No petty scoundrel would dare lay a finger on you here, so there’s no need to be afraid. If any scum like before dares to come, we’ll simply eliminate them.”
As Leia spoke, her tone turned fierce, causing the young girl Tyr’s heart to thump loudly with fear.
Scum.
The girl tugged at the corner of her mouth, her expression somewhat embarrassed. However, after Leia’s words, she began to recall her actions.
Indeed, she had been reckless at the time, and from an outsider’s perspective, it wasn’t unjust to view her as a kidnapper.
It was no wonder that Leia had immediately tried to calm her down and speak kindly.
Wow, but doesn’t that blond bastard then transform into a great hero who bravely steps in to rescue the girl from imminent danger?
I refuse to admit it, absolutely refuse! That blond jerk as my savior or something like that!
This… What does any of this have to do with anything!
Seeing the girl’s sudden darkening expression, Leia hurriedly spoke, at a loss for what to do.
“Ah, s-sorry… It was my fault for bringing up bad memories. Let’s not think about that scumbag anymore, okay?”
It seems the title of scumbag is here to stay. Thankfully, only that blond jerk saw me at the time. Maybe if I disguise myself a bit, the male version of me might still have a chance to interact with them.
Leia seemed to want to divert the girl’s attention and quickly asked,
“Right, right. I still don’t know your name, little sister.”
Ah, the girl Tyr hesitated for a moment. This was a headache. She didn’t really have a name. Even if she went by Tyr directly, it seemed too masculine, and in the future, when she appeared as a male, they might become suspicious if she kept using that name. It might be better to choose a more unique name. With this thought flashing through her mind, the girl immediately made a decision and answered timidly.
“Yue… Yuehai.”
The name has no reason behind it, much like how the name Tyr popped into Tyr’s mind. In fact, there are several other names floating vaguely in her mind, such as Yuehai, Charlotte, Babylus, and Clocelia. These might be fragments of lost memories as well.
Leia’s expression turned clearly bewildered upon hearing this. She asked with some confusion.
“Just Yuehai? What about your surname?”
“Surname? Mine is Yue.” Yuehai found it odd; shouldn’t Tyr’s surname be “Ti”?
Seeing Yuehai’s matter-of-fact response, Leia felt reassured. She looked Yuehai up and down again, making Yuehai feel like a lamb being examined before slaughter.
“So, Yuehai, you should be from the Vermilion Empire, right?”
.” Leia’s sudden remark left Yuehai bewildered.
“The… the Vermillion Empire? Where is that? Until now, Yuehai had only heard from the Great Crab that this place was the Sigril Empire.”
“Oh! Miss Leia, I… I have a headache.”
“What’s wrong?” Leia asked, seeing the other suddenly scream, feeling a bit flustered.
“Could it be the aftermath of that scumbag who hit you before?”
As Leia thought about it, her heart raced even more. She leaned in quickly to check if Yuehai had any head injuries. However, as she did, her bosom also pressed against Yuehai’s body. Without this contact, it was fine, but the moment it happened, Yuehai’s breath quickened. The slight pretense of feigning a headache became much more real.
This made Yuehai inwardly criticize.
Miss Leia, bumping into someone like this with the ball is a foul, you know!
