Chapter 33: Familiar faces everywhere
“Tyr, this is Kagura Xiaoqi from the Zheri Province of the Vermilion Bird Empire, and he’s a male.”
As Claude spoke, Tyr’s face froze, his expression causing Constantine’s already hearty laughter to grow even louder, until eventually he started coughing,the grating sound making Tyr’s head buzz incessantly.
“Male?”
“Ah~ Ah~” Xiaoqi sighed with one hand on her forehead, looking as if she had resigned herself to Tyr’s reaction.
“Yes, I am male. Want to go take a bath together to confirm?”
“No, it’s okay.” Though surprised, Tyr felt curious afterward, but not to the extent of boldly verifying. Anyway, they would naturally find out later as time went on.
“And you! Stop laughing!” Xiaoqi threw one of the bottled water she had in her hand at Constantine’s head, hitting him squarely, causing him to scream and fall onto the bed.
“There’s also one for Claude, and this one’s for you, Tyr.” Xiaoqi tossed the other two filled water bottles from the bag. Claude and Tyr received them with puzzlement, exchanging a glance but unable to discern each other’s intentions.
Xiaoqi took out the last bottle from the bag, unscrewed the cap, and took a big gulp directly. The rich aroma dispersed from the bottle, slightly surprising Tyr and the others. They then looked at their own bottles and slowly opened them following Xiaoqi’s lead.
An inexplicable aroma wafted from it, prompting Tyr to unconsciously drink from the mouth of the bottle. With one sip, the sweet and smooth taste led them to take a few more sips involuntarily. Although it was cold, it tasted even better than coffee. Tyr and Claude couldn’t help but look at Xiaoqi with questioning eyes, while Constantine exclaimed directly.
