Chapter 40: Chase Battle
Tyr burst out of the forest and landed smoothly on the sidewalk. A student who was strolling was startled by the sudden appearance of the masked man, and Tyr didn’t hesitate to sprint away. The student was about to shout at the other for being rude, but then a petite figure followed closely, exuding an overwhelming momentum that nearly blew the other away.
Like Tyr, Dragon Slayer paid no attention to the reaction of the pedestrian. With a burst of movement under her feet, there was a loud explosion at the spot where Dragon Slayer stood, and the terrifying propulsion force increased her speed several times over!
Tyr’s pupils contracted. So that’s what happened. In the forest just now, there were too many trees to fully unleash his abilities. Now, as soon as he reached the road, he could immediately unleash his full potential. Tyr had miscalculated on this point.
But to catch up with oneself, it’s clearly still too green!
“Let me introduce everyone.” Diaz smiled and pointed at Butterfly of Sunflowers, and others, saying.
“This is Butterfly of Sunflowers, these two are my roommates, Shating Iron Sword and Wind Slash Ghost, and this is Miss Arena.”
Yuehai just wanted to ask why the tone became so respectful when it came to Arena’s side, could it be because of liking her?
Yuehai weighed the pros and cons. If Diaz really wanted this kind of fairy, and if Arena was willing, Yuehai didn’t mind doing her a favor. However, based on Diaz’s values, Yuehai’s thoughts like this might cause dissatisfaction. After all, Arena was not an object but a living being with flesh and blood. In terms of biological structure, elves might be more perfect than humans. However, their innocence has kept the vast Elven Empire from stepping into the territories of the Sigril Empire and the Vermilion Kingdom. But there are too many things involved in this matter. Yuehai, who doesn’t understand politics, can only listen to rumors. In reality, only they themselves know what dealings are happening among these three countries.
“Classmate Shating Iron Sword, classmate Butterfly of Sunflowers, classmate Wind Slash Ghost, classmate Arena, hello.”
Yuehai bowed slightly, her posture graceful and exquisite. Even Shating Iron Sword was slightly dazed, while Wind Slash Ghost blushed, his heart pounding incessantly. Seeing their embarrassment, the Butterfly of Sunflowers felt too embarrassed to stand with them.
However, Arena felt an inexplicable familiarity with Yuehai. She said without hiding her feelings, “Yuehai… Um, that is classmate Yuehai.”
After thinking for a while, Arena finally found the right words. This relieved Yuehai. Thank goodness, human etiquette wasn’t taught in vain. If Arena had said something wrong at this moment, Yuehai couldn’t guarantee that she wouldn’t make any extreme moves in front of so many people. Ultimately, Yuehai’s restraint stemmed from the fact that the Tyr version of herself was currently staging a dramatic battle on the road. When facing Dragon Slayer, Yuehai as Tyr had to be extremely cautious. Its level of danger might be comparable to Diaz’s situation at the time. In terms of agility and tenacity, perhaps Dragon Slayer was even superior to Diaz.
“Classmate Yuehai, you feel so familiar to me.”
This sentence from Arena startled Yuehai, who was slightly distracted, and almost caused a mistake from Tyr on the other side.
“How… how could that be familiar?” It’s been said that elves have instincts close to those of beasts. Could Arena, this clumsy elf, be very sensitive in this regard? If she realizes that Yuehai is Tyr, then this joke would be taken too far!
As Yuehai thought about it, her heart couldn’t help but beat faster. However, Arena’s next words almost made Yuehai burst out swearing: “By the way! Classmate Yuehai, weren’t you kissed by Lord Tyr at the banquet?”
“Oh my goodness!” Yuehai’s temper almost burst out uncontrollably. Arena can be quite successful at times, indeed, very successful at getting Yuehai to rage against Tyr.
Yuehai found that while she could remain calm in the face of most things, this particular elf seemed to be her nemesis, exuding a sense of provocation in every sentence, even though Arena didn’t mean any harm.
“It was me. Is there something wrong?” Yuehai wondered inwardly, but the conversation had to continue. Beside her, Claude furrowed his brow slightly. He had selectively forgotten about the incident with Tyr sharing a dormitory with him, and he had remained very restrained in maintaining friendliness. However, Arena’s impolite attitude made him somewhat displeased.
“No, I just feel that classmate Yuehai has some similarities with Lord Tyr.” Arena persisted in her unremarkable remarks, which made Yuehai, who had just relaxed, tense up again. Arena indeed had this kind of intuition, but fortunately, her words didn’t carry too much weight. Yuehai casually brushed it off and changed the subject. At the same time, Yuehai pondered that he must instill some thoughts into this clumsy elf. Otherwise, if her loose lips ended up exposing everything about Yuehai and Tyr, it would be truly frustrating.
“So, why are we here…..?” Yuehai looked at the Butterfly of Sunflowers and the others, asking. After exchanging glances, Shating Iron Sword took the lead and said.
“We were originally assigned to Class Eight, but for some special reason, we ended up in Class Nine. We heard that Mr. Tyr is also in Class Nine. We don’t know where the others went.”
“The person you want to ask about was taken away by the Dragon Slayer!” Suddenly, Neruko, who appeared out of nowhere, spoke up, while Damiyala and the others behind her nodded slightly and greeted Claude and Diaz.
“We’re all classmates here in Avalon, there’s no need for that.” Claude quickly responded, and Damiyala smiled and nodded before continuing.
“Since we’re all in Class Nine now, it’s a good opportunity. Let’s introduce ourselves first.”
“Okay.”
Rarely, Ye Xi, Gui Dongri, and others were also present, and Constantine, who had been playing the role of a bystander all along, kept nodding his head incessantly, welcoming so many beautiful women introducing themselves with great enthusiasm,if any of them hit it off in conversation, it seemed that some good things might happen in the academy. Meanwhile, Kagura Xiaoqi still felt depressed about what happened before, and his impression of Dragon Slayer had also plummeted in a straight line.
While a group of about ten people introduced each other cheerfully,Tyr was still fleeing for his life, with the Dragon Slayer relentlessly closing in behind him, exuding a terrifying aura, each pursuit putting tremendous pressure on Tyr, Considering that Tyr’s fighting spirit was only at a low level, and his physical strength was not commendable, this chase and evasion in a state of urgency caused Tyr’s stamina to rapidly deplete, being caught was likely just a matter of time. Thinking of this, Tyr trembled all over. If he had been beaten up at the beginning, perhaps it would have been better, but now, he had already exchanged dozens of blows with the Dragon Slayer, and once caught, the opponent might not stop with just one punch.
Therefore, he must win this chase.
With determination gleaming in his eyes, Tyr suddenly turned around. Carrying the momentum of his high-speed movement, he slid for several meters before coming to a halt. Confronted with Dragon Slayer’s fierce onslaught, Tyr gripped his right hand tightly around “The Enchanter,” his entire aura suddenly surging as he unleashed his Descending God Flow technique.
“Boundary Break!”
