Chapter 34: The Beginning of Reconstruction

Dang dang dang!” Loloan stood on the roof, hammering nails with a hammer in his hand.

The roof must be securely nailed, or it will be problematic in windy and rainy weather. After all, this isn’t a burrow. He must take his new home seriously.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead, smiling, “It will be done tonight!”

Living under the burrow was quite stifling, and now, the Phylin tribe was excited to live on the ground in Fengniao Town. If not for rebuilding Fengniao Town, the Phylin tribe would probably have held a celebration banquet, cheering and rejoicing at night.

They were determined to hunt a huge wild beast and sprinkle it with spices for roasting!

Because the Phylin tribe was often called the reserve food of wild beasts, they celebrated by hunting large wild animals. They wanted to prove that they were no longer the reserve food of wild beasts but proud members of the Phylin tribe standing firmly on the earth!

“Loloan.” Suddenly, Loloan heard Ron’s voice.

“Isn’t this Mr. Ron? Are you here to build a house too?” Loloan waved at Ron.

“I’ve already chosen a place to live.” Ron pointed to the mayor’s mansion, saying, “No need to build.”

With such a large mansion, why would he need to build a house?

“That’s true! It’s really a big house! I envy you!” Loloan sincerely admired, “But we can also build one in the future!”

But the Phylin tribe now, rather than building houses, seems to be more about rebuilding.

“When did you start?” Ron asked.

“Start what?” Loloan scratched his head.

After silence, Ron continued, “Rebuilding Fengniao Town.”

“We started early in the morning,” Loloan said with a smile, “If we didn’t think it would disturb people at night, we would have started last night.”

“You see, it’s Mr. Ron and the others.”

“Mr. Ron, good noon!”

“Miss Moluna, good noon, too!”

“And hello to the miss who still can’t remember names until now!”

Some passing Phylin tribe members greeted Ron and the others. However, after the greetings, they hurriedly continued their work.

It took more than just a day or two to build the houses. To move into their new houses sooner, the Phylin tribe members were putting in extra effort.

“A miss who can’t remember names?” Lilian’s expression changed slightly. “These Phylin tribe members are really rude.”

Why do these Phylin tribe members remember Ron and Moluna’s names but not hers?

Lilian lowered her eyelids, appearing elegant and composed, standing aside, but she was pondering this question intensely.

“Moluna and I have faced life and death with them,” Ron stated. “You’re always indoors, so naturally, they don’t know you.”

Moreover, he once resided in the pit with the Phylin tribe. Naturally, they recognise him.

The Phylin tribe already saw Moluna as a great person, much to her satisfaction, though it was hard to tell from her expression.

Lilian, although reluctant to admit it, seemed to acknowledge the reality.

“By the way, Loloan, do you know the purpose of these platforms along the road?” Ron inquired.

Loloan replied, “Those are the foundations for watchtowers! We can’t be complacent against bandits!”

While bandits had decreased significantly, the danger persisted, so the Phylin tribe remained vigilant.

In Fengniao Town, they had marked an immediate living area and planned to establish numerous watchtowers around it. If conditions permit, they would set up traps. Otherwise, the Phylin tribe wouldn’t sleep soundly.

“We Phylin tribe may love peace, but defence is essential!” Loloan proudly declared.

Accidentally dropping his hammer, Loloan exclaimed, “Ah! Our hammer! We have many nails to hammer!”

Susuan, carrying a basket, walked over, saying, “You’re such a fool!” when Loloan asked for help.

Susuan thanked Ron, emphasising that without him and Moluna, they couldn’t have defeated the bandits. The Phylin tribe recognised that without Ron and Moluna, they wouldn’t stand a chance against bandits.

“These were meant for Loloan. Everyone should have a taste,” Susuan offered snacks from the basket.

Loloan, eager for a share, got a playful kick from Susuan, who insisted others go first. Ron, curious about the snacks, wondered what Susuan used to make them.

Moluna, without hesitation, took a bite and sincerely praised, “Delicious.”

“If you like it, that’s good. We put in a lot of effort,” Susuan said shyly in response to Moluna’s straightforward compliment.
