Chapter 8: Plan failed? No, it succeeded!
“Moluna is really impressive!”
The Phylin tribe at the cave entrance cheered as Moluna conjured a water cannon with her bare hands. Moluna felt proud hearing the Phylin tribe praising her. However, her expression quickly changed when she saw more bandits emerging from the cave.
Especially seeing the sturdy guy in the middle, her mood turned serious. That guy’s presence differed from the other bandits. He seemed to be a formidable opponent.
“Let’s protect Moluna!” Loloan shouted, twirling his spear to create a dazzling display.
The other Phylin tribe members also grabbed their spears, surrounding Moluna. “Protect Moluna!”
They knew their task was to safeguard Moluna while she continued spraying water cannons. As long as Moluna kept up the barrage, the bandits wouldn’t stand a chance.
Moluna continuously gathered water, forming a powerful stream. The bandits were sent flying, struggling to get up under the relentless assault.
“Wow! Is this magic? It’s the first time I’ve seen it!” Loloan exclaimed.
“Boss! This firepower is too fierce!” Loloan panicked while the bandits were howling in agony.
They couldn’t stand under the high-pressure water cannon, making breathing difficult.
“Boss?” Moluna murmured, focusing on the scar-faced guy.
If they called him the boss, did it mean he was the bandit leader?
According to Lord Ron’s plan, wasn’t the leader supposed to be inside the cave?
Moluna paused, realising something was wrong and asked, “Has the plan failed?”
“What plan has failed?” Loloan asked in confusion.
She explained, “The bandit leader is at the front. That scar-faced one is the leader.”
“Our plan has failed!” Loloan panicked, “What do we do now?”
“Relax,” Moluna said calmly, “I’m still here.”
Ron was inside the cave, and no one could command them.
“It’s okay,” Moluna said, taking charge of the Phylin tribe.
“That’s right, Moluna is still here. We have nothing to fear!” Loloan regained his courage.
Seeing Moluna’s water cannon, the bandit leader questioned, “A mage?”
He expected magic runes, but Moluna created water cannons without them.
Moluna instantly created another water cannon, revealing she was a witch. Though the water couldn’t harm him, it was highly insulting. He felt a sensation of being unable to exert any strength throughout his body when facing Moluna.
“No wonder these Phylin tribe suddenly dared to confront us. Turns out they’ve allied with a witch,” the bandit leader thought he understood everything. But the Phylin tribe dared to ally with a witch. They must be out of their minds.
Didn’t they know witches were prone to berserk, turning into the legendary black mud and destroying everything around them?
“And it seems like the plan’s failure doesn’t matter!” Loloan noticed that the powerful leader couldn’t get close and said loudly.
The Phylin tribe also noticed that the bandit leader couldn’t do anything to Moluna, and they exclaimed together, “Wow! Moluna is amazing!”
“No, the plan hasn’t failed,” Moluna turned her hat and said calmly.
Being praised by the Phylin tribes lifted Moluna’s mood considerably. She was more willing to deal with these Phylin tribes than with humans.
“I will help Lord Ron’s plan succeed,” Moluna said confidently.
As long as these bandits were eliminated, Lord Ron’s plan wouldn’t be considered a failure. A small water sphere formed between her fingers, but this one was boiling, unlike usual.
The bandit leader felt he couldn’t allow Moluna to continue using the water cannon so recklessly. Under pressure, he forcibly charged towards the spear formation of the Phylin tribe.
“Don’t think this is the end!” He exclaimed in anger, his skin burnt.
“Of course, it’s not over just like this,” Moluna said expressionlessly.
Since people described witches as terrifying, she would show them a power befitting that description.
“Don’t forget about us!” Loloan raised a spear taller than himself and shouted, “We will protect Moluna!”
“Our plan was very successful,” Ron inside the cave, confidently said to the Phylin tribe behind him.
“Mr. Ron is amazing!” Ron’s confidence also infected the Phylin tribe, and they all exclaimed.
Although they didn’t know where Ron’s confidence came from, it reassured them. After infiltrating the cave, they quietly took care of several bandits.
This made Ron feel that the bandit group wasn’t that formidable as long as they were united. He had inflated to the point of believing that resolving all the bandit gangs in the basin was not a difficult task.
Just as Ron reached the peak of his confidence, he heard a strange cry for help.
“Oh, sir, and those adorable little ones, please save me.”
