Chapter 27:🤣👉🤡🤡

Leon sat on the broad dragon’s back, flipping through the book his master had just given him, “The Gates of the Nine Hells.”

The name sounded somewhat intimidating, but the content inside was genuinely substantial.

Just as his master had said, it was a book about physical training techniques.

From the table of contents, it was clear that the majority of the initial chapters focused on teaching the reader how to train their body more effectively, aiming to reach a strength beyond human limits.

The later chapters, however, were the core of “The Nine Hells Gate”.

Leon skimmed through it briefly, not delving into the details, planning to practice it slowly once he got back.

Coincidentally, Rosvitha asked, “What are your plans next?”

“Well… My master and I intend to link the former king’s feigned death, the human-dragon war, and the empire’s pursuit of me. We will use this as a starting point for our investigation.”

“Oh, it sounds like your mission is getting heavier,” Rosvitha remarked.

Leon smiled, “Not necessarily.”

“What do you mean?”

“When I was in school, the scariest math problems were not the long ones, but the very short ones. Because with fewer known conditions, it was extremely difficult to find the correct solution.”

Leon continued, “Conversely, the longer the problem, the more information provided, and the easier it was to find the final answer. So, combining more clues might help us find the answers we seek faster.”

The queen didn’t respond immediately. After a moment of silence, she chuckled, not holding back her praise for Leon, “You’re getting smarter and smarter, Leon.”

“People grow, after all.”

“No, I don’t think it’s about growth.”

Leon raised an eyebrow, “Then what’s it about?”

“Proximity to cinnabar makes one red, proximity to ink makes one black. You’ve been living with me for so long; it’s only natural that you’ve become smarter,” Rosvitha said.

Leon couldn’t help but smile wryly. When it came to self-praise, the two of them were equally relentless.

“By the way, are you planning to practice the techniques in that physical cultivation book?” Rosvitha asked.

“Of course I am.”

“Oh…” The queen trailed off, as if contemplating something.

Leon noticed that the dragoness seemed to be plotting something. Although he didn’t know exactly what she was up to, she wouldn’t bring up “The Nine Hells Gate” for no reason. He thought for a moment and then shoved the book deeper into his pocket.

Along the way, the couple engaged in sporadic conversation. A few hours later, they returned to the Silver Dragon Sanctuary. Departing in the morning and arriving home by evening—one could always trust the speed of the Silver Dragon clan!

As they entered the front courtyard of the sanctuary, the maid Milan approached, bowed, and whispered, “Your Majesty, Princess Isabella has arrived.”

Rosvitha paused in her steps. “My sister? When did she arrive?”

“Not long ago. She’s in the back garden now, playing with Prince Muen.”

“Alright, I understand. Prepare the banquet and guest rooms,” Rosvitha instructed.

Milan nodded. “Yes, Your Majesty.” She then retreated to make the arrangements.

Rosvitha pursed her lips, puzzled. “My sister always shows up at the most unexpected times.”

“Got it. Silver Dragons excel in speed, Red Dragons in surprise attacks,” Leon quipped.

The queen shot him a glance. “When you see my sister later, just say we were out inspecting the border.”

“Yeah, inspecting the border is a perfect excuse for slacking off, Your Majesty,” Leon teased.

Rosvitha playfully punched Leon’s chest, “Stop joking around, you silly fool.”

The couple headed to the back garden.

Sure enough, Isabella was there, sitting on a bench under the old locust tree, holding Muen and doting on her, nuzzling her little face.

“Muen, my dear, do you want to come play at the Red Dragon Sanctuary with your aunt?”

“I do~”

“Do you really? Then give your aunt a kiss, and I’ll take you tomorrow.”

“Auntie, kiss kiss~”

Muen held the face of the red-haired beauty and gave her a big smooch.

“Hmm… Your aunt suddenly changed her mind. One kiss isn’t enough; I need two.”

The little dragon girl knew how to charm people, and she gave her aunt several more kisses on the cheek.

The delighted aunt was overjoyed. If she had the chance, she would definitely encourage her sister and brother-in-law to have more kids.

Then, she could use the excuse, “You have too many kids, let me take care of a couple for you,” to legitimately take the adorable little dragon girls to her Red Dragon Sanctuary.

“Sis, you’re here,” Rosvitha’s voice came from the side as Isabella was basking in the affection.

Isabella looked up, following the voice, “Oh, you two lovebirds! Where did you go off to, leaving the child behind?”

Rosvitha blushed, “What do you mean, lovebirds? Leon and I were inspecting the border.”

“Ha, inspecting the border is a great excuse for slacking off and sneaking away for some romance.”

“Pfft—” Leon was about to burst out laughing, but Rosvitha quickly elbowed him to keep him in check.

“Little Rose, next time you lie, try not to blush.”

Rosvitha’s heart skipped a beat, worried that her sister might sense something. If Isabella were to find out that she had just gone with her human husband to meet a human master and a human girl, discussing human conspiracies, their household would become quite lively.

At least for now, Rosvitha had no idea how to handle the situation if things were to unravel, which is why she kept it from Isabella.

Luckily, Isabella didn’t press further, assuming her sister was just making excuses to go out with her husband. Rosvitha breathed a sigh of relief and continued to play with Muen in her arms.

“Hey, speaking of which, Little Rose, you mentioned in your letter that our youngest daughter’s name is going to be Aurora, right?” Isabella asked.

“Yeah, her full name is Aurora, but we call her Little Light.”

Isabella nodded, “A beautiful name.”

With that, she stood up, holding Muen, and eagerly said, “Take me to see our little darling. It’s been three months since I last saw her. I bet she’s already calling me Auntie, right?”

Hearing this, the couple exchanged strange looks before answering. “Nothing, let’s go see her,” they said, leading Isabella to the bedroom.

Upon seeing Aurora, Isabella’s auntly heart overflowed once again, and she showered the little pink dragon with affection.

“Muen: So love fades away, right, Auntie?”

Aurora still had that pleasant baby scent, her chubby cheeks smooth and soft to the touch.

“She’s such a darling. Why did you both have such strange expressions earlier?” Isabella asked, puzzled.

After Isabella asked, she didn’t pay attention to how the couple responded and continued to enjoy cuddling with the baby. “Aurora, come on, say Auntie, Isabella~ Auntie~”

Before Aurora could respond, Rosvitha interjected, “Sis, actually, Aurora… she can’t talk yet.”

Isabella blinked in surprise, “How is that possible? It’s been three months already, why can’t she talk?”

“It’s true, sis. Leon and I have been trying to teach her for a month, but Aurora still can’t even say simple words like ‘mommy’ or ‘daddy’…”

Muen jumped in, raising her hand, “She can’t say ‘sister’ either!”

“Yeah, she’s never called Muen or Noia sister. We think there might be something wrong with her health. We’re planning to take her to Sky City tomorrow.”

“Nonsense, what’s wrong with her health? My little niece is perfectly healthy,” Isabella cooed to Aurora.

“Sweetheart, your mommy and daddy say you’re three months old and still can’t talk. Auntie doesn’t believe it. Come on, say Auntie for them to see.”

Leon sighed, “Sis, just give up. I’ve been talking non-stop for a month, and Aurora—”

“Isabella~ Auntie~”

Leon: ???

Rosvitha: ???

Isabella: 🤣👉🤡🤡

I think Aurora really inherited the trolling nature of her aunt. That’s both hilarious and worrying…
