Chapter 63: Kou Kou Yours (2 in 1)

At the moment when Leon leaped, Sta also finished gathering his strength.

This strike would bring an end to his millennium-long life.

And it would also bring an end to the arrogant human standing before him.

Sta wanted to show him that anyone who dared to offend the dragon race had only one outcome—death.

What did it matter if they both perished?

As long as the enemy paid an equal price, Sta didn’t care.

Golden light suddenly surged, and from a distance, it seemed as if a second sun was slowly rising over the horizon.

The overwhelming power radiated outward from Sta, who roared, protecting the last dignity of the Dragon King.

The man who had pushed him to this point was also prepared for a head-on confrontation.

Clad in silver armor, the man held lightning in his hand, the most violent and uncontrollable element in nature now transformed into his army, awaiting his command.

He was like a general of salvation, commanding the most powerful force in existence, launching an all-out strike against the golden dragon.

Countless bolts of lightning gathered into the form of a lion, roaring as it descended from the sky.

Super S-Class Thunder Magic—Dragon Slayer

A magic never recorded in any books, Leon Cosmord’s self-created ultimate move against dragons.

No lengthy, awkward incantations, no inexplicable body movements, no cheap tricks for sneak attacks.

It was pure energy, with only one purpose… To slay dragons.

Thunder and golden light clashed; The lion and the Dragon King fought fiercely.

Between two kings, the battle would not end until one perished.

The energies met in mid-air, and the collision caused an explosion of energy that shook the surroundings.

Instantly, the heavens and the earth trembled, as if the end of the world had arrived ahead of time.

The dazzling light flickered in Ravi’s eyes, and he exclaimed excitedly, almost maniacally,

“Did you see that, Nacho? This is the ultimate life-and-death battle in the world! You’re so lucky, barely in your thirties and already witnessing this, while I’ve lived for 1,500 years and only today had the fortune to see such a duel with my own eyes!”

Dragons are all lunatics—  That master often said so.

Nacho never believed it before, but now he did. He knelt on the ground, watching the man and the dragon fight to the death.

Nacho couldn’t understand it. If it was uncontrollable for the Dragon King to destroy everything in his fury, then why was Leon Cosmord fighting so desperately?

He could have fled to safety with those silver dragons. Even if Sta’s self-destruction would still affect him, it wouldn’t be as extreme as betting his own life on the line like now.

Nacho stared at the tiny silver figure wielding thunder, battling the rampaging Dragon King with unmatched strength, and even someone as cunning as Nacho couldn’t help but think: What if someone like him stood on our side?

Brave and fearless, willing to sacrifice without hesitation, such people never lack recognition from others.

But Nacho would never understand, nor could he understand, that Leon never lived for anyone else’s approval.

He had things he needed to protect, even if it meant staking his life.

Amidst the raging thunder, cracks began to appear on the man’s armor. Leon shouted at the golden dragon, “How long have you lived, Sta?”

“A thousand years? Two thousand? Or three thousand?”

“In your long life, surely there must be something you consider the thing you regret the most, right?”

“Maybe a wrong decision, maybe killing one of your own, or maybe something else.”

“But now, I’m telling you, the thing you should regret most in your life is standing at my doorstep, yelling in front of my wife and kids, and then trying to blow up my house.”

“The last dragon that scared my wife and kids is already hanging at my door.”

“And your fate—will be the same!”

With a rumble of thunder, he used the lightning in his hands to disperse the golden light in front of him, forcibly pushing back the terrifying energy that could have leveled everything.

The lion formed from lightning roared, baring its fangs and claws, charging at Sta.

In an instant, lightning engulfed him, and the golden light was extinguished. The dragon’s roar, filled with bitterness and anger at his defeat, echoed from within the explosion.

“Did His Highness win? His Highness won!!”

The moment the explosion occurred, Sta’s dragon aura vanished entirely.

The silver dragon soldiers raised their arms in victory.

Sherry also smiled in relief, “We won, head maid.”

Anna slowly unclenched her fists, the blood from her palms dripping from her fingertips. “Yes… we won.”

On the battlefield, Roseweisse dashed into the still-raging explosion, grabbed Leon in her mouth, and flew close to the ground—  The shockwaves from the explosion continued, and the situation was urgent, so she had no choice but to use this rather ungraceful method to get Leon out.

That damned guy, winning and not immediately hiding from the explosion, just standing there showing off.

I had to learn from that gunslinger Rebecca later, ask her how she put up with this guy back in the day.

As her mind wandered, a shock suddenly came from behind, and Roseweisse, unable to dodge in time, plummeted toward the ground with Leon in tow.

Fortunately, by then, they had already reached the edge of the shockwave, so falling didn’t really matter.

Roseweisse’s massive dragon body quickly steadied itself.

Once she regained her footing, she immediately ran to Leon, spreading her wings to shield him, using her body to block the remaining shockwave. Fortunately, the energy explosion soon ended.

After confirming the area was quiet, Roseweisse retracted her wings and shifted into her human form.

The couple lay on the ravaged battlefield, gazing at the gradually clearing night sky.

The clouds parted, and the first ray of sunlight shone on the chest plate of the Black Gold War Machine.

Leon was utterly exhausted, his right hand trembling uncontrollably.

That last attack was indeed dangerous—it had been a gamble, and luckily, he’d won.

Leon spoke, “Roseweisse.”

“What?”

“Your teeth were digging into my kidney earlier…”

“You’re lucky I didn’t eat you.”

“But being carried by a dragon was a first for me… it felt… different.”

Roseweisse turned her head, looking at him with disdain. “Bunny outfits are the limit of what I can tolerate; for any other interests, you’ll have to find other ways to deal with them yourself.”

The couple lay on the ground, staring at each other. Although Roseweisse could only see a silver lump of metal from her angle, she was sure there was a silly grin under that helmet.

Suddenly, the queen got a whimsical idea, a bold thought. She reached out, gently cupping the helmet of the Black Gold War Machine, and leaned in, her soft lips pressing lightly against the cold, hard metal.

It was a brief kiss. She quickly withdrew, her face flushed, and lay back down.

General Leon was stunned for a moment, then sat up with a start, “That doesn’t count! That— that doesn’t count, kissing through the helmet doesn’t count!”

Roseweisse replied, “Count it or not, I’ve already shown my feelings.”

“Who shows their feelings like that? No, wait, let me take off my helmet and do it properly.”

As he spoke, Leon clumsily tried to remove the helmet of the Black Gold War Machine.

This damn armor is great for everything except taking off—what a hassle. One day, I’ll just sell it.

Black Gold War Machine: Wait, have I not fulfilled your dreams in a long time, Cosmord?

In the end, Leon couldn’t get the helmet off.  He gave up, figuring he’d deal with it later.  Leon stood up and extended a hand to Roseweisse, “Let’s go home.”

Roseweisse nodded, took his hand, and stood up with a slight effort.

The couple looked back at the battlefield.

Golden scales were scattered everywhere, and the massive dragon corpse lay there. Cleaning up this battlefield would take quite some time.

“Its head’s so big, there’s no way to hang it.” Leon muttered.

Roseweisse responded, “Then I’ll arrange some craftsmen when we get back, and they can build a special display stand just for you to hang the heads of old Dragon Kings on. How about that?”

“I wouldn’t say no. But compared to that, I’m more interested in that bigger throne you mentioned rebuilding.”

The couple, supporting each other, chatted idly as they slowly made their way back to the Silver Dragon territory.

Anna, Sherry, and the others also came to meet them.

Without a doubt, it was a resounding victory. After this battle, the empire probably wouldn’t send any more Dragon Kings to bother Leon for a while—

“Where do you think you’re going?”

A voice came from above.

The two looked up to see a black figure descending from the sky, landing directly between them and the approaching silver dragon soldiers.

As the figure landed, two more shadows followed, landing behind the couple on the left and right. They formed a triangle around Leon and Roseweisse.

Roseweisse immediately recognized the leader.

“Stellar Dragon King, Ravi…”

They aren’t even pretending to be a fake married couple anymore, they are truly husband and wife now, and all it took was a battle to the death with a literal mountain of a dragon. They better not go back to calling their relationship fake.
