Yesterday is boring, today is boring, tomorrow is boring, good storys are never boring!

Shut up, malevolent dragon! I don’t want to have any more children with you V2C74

Chapter 74: So you also practice——

Leon’s eyes gleamed since the topic had shifted to differences between species, and he asked, “So dragons can get nearsighted?”

“Pure-blooded dragons, of course, don’t get nearsighted.”

Aurora said, “But I’m mixed-blood, and since I spend all day in the basement reading ancient books and research papers, nearsightedness was inevitable~”

When she said, “I’m mixed-blood,” her tone and expression were light and relaxed.

It seemed like she didn’t mind her bloodline or heritage at all.

Leon pursed his lips, hesitated momentarily, then tentatively asked, “Guang, when you first found out that half of your blood was human, how… did you feel?”

Aurora blinked, immediately picking up on the underlying meaning in her father’s words.

She smiled faintly. “Dad, you want to ask if I can accept the fact that I’m mixed-blood, right?”

“…Yeah.”

“Of course I can. Why wouldn’t I?”

Aurora glanced sideways at Leon, her pink eyes uncharacteristically solemn.

“I could even ask you in return, why would you think ‘my daughter might not be able to accept her heritage’ in the first place?”

Leon was stunned. He hadn’t expected Aurora to respond this way. “Uh, well…”

“It’s not your fault. Mom had the same concerns when she told us about it.”

“She told us not to hate you or despise ourselves.”

“Mom said so many things, she didn’t even let us get a word in. She was worried we might reject our origins because of our human blood.”

“In the end, it was Big Sis who reassured her.”

“Big Sis said, ‘Maybe in Dad’s memory, the first lesson he gave me was to help me prepare for the entrance exam to St. Heath Academy.’”

“But to her, the first lesson that gentle, knowledgeable man gave her was how to accept herself.”

“Waking up after two years in a coma, you weren’t ready to be a father at all.”

“But you still accepted your new role and Big Sis and Second Sis.”

“For that, you tried your best to love them as a father.”

“At that time, you knew full well that your daughters were mixed-blood, not pure humans.”

“But you still loved them without hesitation.”

“Because to you, they were first and foremost your daughters, and only after that were they ‘mixed-blood.’”

“Back then, I didn’t quite understand what Big Sis was talking about.”

“But now, I think I understand a little.”

As Aurora spoke, she slowly stood up, standing on the sloping hillside, gazing out toward the distant horizon, where the green grass and blue sky met in a clear and distinct boundary in her eyes.

“Accepting yourself is a difficult thing.”

“But Leon Casmoday did it with ease.”

“So, as his daughters, what’s stopping us from doing the same?”

“What’s more…”

Aurora lowered her head to look at her dad, the seriousness on her face fading away, replaced by a mischievous grin.

“You, the strongest human Dragon Slayer, are deeply in love with my mom, the Silver Dragon Queen, and here you are talking about species differences?”

Another update at midnight.

To all my working-class comrades, college students, high schoolers, middle schoolers, elementary schoolers, and even my kindergarten readers—since it’s break time, we’re adjusting our update schedule to midnight every day~

Love you all, and since it’s the start of the month, vote for me!

Every time Aurora talks about how her dad loves her mom, she does so with a sense of pride.

This shows that she genuinely doesn’t care about being mixed-blood.

And when she learned that her father was human, Noa was the first to suggest “accepting oneself”—

Of course, it’s possible that young Moon didn’t quite understand, and Light just chose to stay silent, being an amused bystander.

But in any case, there’s no racial barrier between the daughters and their father, and that’s the best outcome.

Leon silently breathed a sigh of relief.

The reason he suddenly brought this up was that he’d noticed something subtle: From the moment they reunited with the adult Noa a day ago until now, she hadn’t called Leon “Dad” even once.

Not a single time, he was sure of it.

Moon still called him “Daddy” like she used to, and Light, being more casual, called him “Dad.”

But only Noa kept using “you” or “he” to refer to him.

Leon understood that Noa might be mad at him for disappearing for twenty years.

But he also worried that it had something to do with his human identity or some other reason.

Just like when she was young after Leon woke up from his two-year coma, Noa didn’t call him “Dad” for a long time.

Noa’s first “Dad” was at the family sports day at St. Heath Academy when she saw Leon giving his all for the family’s honor. She was so excited that she shouted, “Go, Dad!”

Afterward, Leon hugged her and made her call him “Dad” several more times.

Though she was a bit shy, Noa obediently complied.

Young Noa’s thoughts were easy to guess, and Leon had used his actions to step by step win over his eldest daughter’s heart.

But now, the adult Noa exuded an air of “I’m too cool for this; don’t mess with me.” She kept her emotions hidden, and Leon couldn’t guess what she was thinking at all.

Do you know how important one affectionate “Dad” is to a daddy’s girl like me?—

Roswithe’s “Hubby” ranks second, but the daughters’ “Dad” ranks first!

(Donkey can’t speak human language, so it’s not part of this ranking.)

Although Leon was sure through Aurora’s retelling that Noa didn’t mind her mixed-blood identity,

He still wanted to know what exactly was going on in his daughter’s mind.

After chatting with Aurora for a while longer, it was time for dinner, and the two of them returned to the underground space for the meal.

Dinner was simple—wild fruits, grilled meat, and mushroom soup.

All ingredients could be sourced from the wild. Leon understood this.
