Chapter 10: Come, My Beloved Wife, Let’s Slack Off Together ( Part 2 )
Xiao Guang said, “Dad, you can say this to me, but if you say it to big sister, she’ll ignore you for three days.”
Leon pouted, smiling and shaking his head.
These little dragon daughters were all sharper than the next.
Leon decided to change the subject and took Xiao Guang to the garden in the backyard of the temple.
When they arrived, Mu’en was already busy playing a blindfolded ghost-catching game with Noa.
“Dad.”
“Hmm?”
“Have you noticed that second sister has been more clingy to big sister these past few days?” Xiao Guang asked as she looked at the two sisters playing a game not far away.
Leon followed her gaze, then briefly recalled Mu’en’s behavior in the past two days. “Hmm… that’s true. But she’s always been pretty clingy to Noa. It’s only after you were born that she started becoming a little more independent. Maybe she feels like now that she’s an older sister, she should act the part.”
“But deep down, second sister is still very reliant on big sister.”
“That’s true.”
During the two years Leon was unconscious, Noa had spent a long time accompanying Mu’en.
So after Mu’en’s personality and thoughts matured, she began to see Noa as a vital pillar of support.
To put it simply—she’s a sister complex.
Leon didn’t see anything wrong with the sisters being close, and Noa had never shown impatience with Mu’en.
She knew she was her sister’s source of support, and she would never disappoint her little sister.
Noa’s personality was such that she always sought to please everyone.
“Hey, Xiao Guang, why don’t you ever cling to the two sisters?” Leon suddenly asked.
“Because I’m being held by you, Dad.”
“… Sorry, sorry.”
Leon bent down and placed Xiao Guang on the ground.
“Then, Dad, I’m going to play~”
“Mm, go ahead, but be safe.”
The little pink-haired one waved her hand and ran toward her two sisters. The three little ones gathered together, and the game grew livelier.
Leon stood at a distance, his hands in his pockets, quietly watching this warm and harmonious scene. The corners of his mouth slowly curled up.
He thought of the ideal life he once talked about with Rosvitha:
“Move to a remote countryside, start a farm.”
“Then marry a woman who isn’t as beautiful or ugly as my wife.”
“Have a cute daughter.”
“Finally, wait for time to slowly wither me away. I think, if it’s possible, this would probably be the life I want.”
Though his current life didn’t involve a farm, and his fake wife was far too beautiful to fit his Zen standards, at least… his daughters were genuinely adorable.
Leon slowly sat down on the grass, then lay back, his hands behind his head, gazing at the blue sky.
A gentle breeze blew across his bangs, refreshing him. Before long, footsteps could be heard. Leon didn’t need to open his eyes to know who it was.
“Taking a break?” she asked.
“Mm, care to join me?” Leon invited.
Rosvitha didn’t answer, but instead, she slowly lay down as well.
She placed her hands on her belly and leaned her shoulder against Leon’s.
Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, bathing them in warmth and comfort.
…
The new school term at Saint Hiss Academy has arrived.
Leon fulfilled his promise to Little Guang and brought her along to send Noa back to school.
Since there was no “school bus” like Leviathan specifically picking up students, parents had to personally send their children to school, making the day quite lively.
But the most lively family was the Melkwei family.
Usually, dragon families consist of two or three members. After all, traditional dragon families follow a “few but excellent” breeding policy. Even in the case of live-birth families, most are only children.
But the Melkwei family arrived with a full five members.
It was almost equivalent to two-and-a-half cocoon-born dragon families.
One could see the silver dragon queen and her husband, who was reluctant to show his tail, holding hands with their eldest daughter, while both parents held their other two daughters in their arms.
If they had one more child, Rosvitha might have to wrap her tail around the baby.
Other parents, seeing this, couldn’t help but stop and observe.
Their feelings were a bit complex.
It wasn’t jealousy or disdain, just pure surprise.
“I heard the Silver Dragon King is only around 200 years old and has three children… Can they handle it?”
“Do you think her husband is just for show? I’ve heard he’s capable of both childcare and fighting, truly a man of many talents.”
“Is that true?”
“Of course. The Silver Dragon Queen is one of the most outstanding among the younger generation of dragon kings, so her husband can’t be lacking.”
“Mm… I should go back and discuss with the king of our clan whether we should establish ties with the Silver Dragon Clan.”
“……”
Leon overheard the gossip and leaned close to Rosvith’s ear, whispering, “We seem to have become even more famous than last semester.”
Last semester, the two of them not only scattered dog food on stage during the freshman opening ceremony but also conquered all opponents and spectators with their exaggerated teamwork and strength at the family parent-child sports meet.
Parents in the school were spreading the legend of the “Silver Dragon Special Forces.”
Even the students regarded Noa K. Melkwei as the one true god of the current year. Leon had thought that this would be about the limit. But after the holiday, their fame had somehow grown even more.
Well, it seems we are quite the model family, Leon thought to himself.
“Mm, I expected it., Rosvith said.
“Expected it?”
“Yes.”
Rosvith said, “A while ago, Bly and the others caused such a ruckus, so it already spread within the dragon clan. Your great feat of killing six dragons in ten seconds has naturally become well-known.”
“That’s how it is…”
“Mm. But don’t discuss dragon clan internal conflicts here at Saint Hiss Academy. This is a neutral institution,” Rosvith reminded.
Leon nodded, “Got it.”
