Chapter 21:  My Mom and I Are Practicing in the Morning ( Part 1 )

Early in the morning, Xiao Guang slowly woke up from her sleep.

She heard the rustling sound of pages being turned.

Groggily, she sat up, her little pink hair in a messy tangle, her eyes not fully opened, and she turned toward the direction of the book-flipping sound.

There, she saw her second sister sitting at the desk, holding paper and pen, writing and drawing, with a large stack of other books on the desk.

Not only that, Xiao Guang also noticed the headscarf tied on her second sister’s head, which had two large characters written on it:

Effort.

Along with an oversized exclamation mark.

“Oh no, I woke up to see my second sister studying hard. I must still be half-asleep, better go back to bed.”

With that, Xiao Guang threw herself back down and closed her eyes.

Before long, she sat up again.

She found that Munen was still sitting there, diligently reading.

Little pink hair suddenly became alert.

“When lazybones stop being lazy, it means there’s definitely… fun to watch!”

Xiao Guang threw off the covers, jumped out of bed, wearing her cute pink pajamas, and wagged her little tail as she approached her second sister.

She glanced at the book Munen was reading, which was a basic magic theory.

But it was more “academic.”

Normal magic books would teach you how to use magic;

But the book Munen was reading was more theoretical, or more like “exam preparation.”

Typically, this kind of magic theory was read for certain magical tests.

Xiao Guang scratched her head and asked, “Second sister, why are you suddenly studying so hard?”

Munen didn’t look up from the review book and said, “The new semester enrollment at Saint Xis Academy is starting in a month, and I’m going to apply.”

“Eh? But the academy’s junior dragon courses are designed for dragons over seven years old, so most of the applicants are around that age.”

Xiao Guang paused for a moment, then seriously added, “Big sister doesn’t count, she’s a monster.”

“If my sister can pass the test and stick with it, I can do it too!”

Munen pouted, her pen never stopping, and as she spoke, she finished a long essay question and immediately tackled the next one.

Over a year ago, when Leon gave her magic enlightenment, she had already covered some of these magic theories.

So now, it wasn’t difficult for her.

Watching her second sister so focused and determined, Xiao Guang’s eyes widened slightly.

A Buddhist like Munen would never suddenly decide to enroll in Saint Xis Academy without a reason.

There must be some reason for her to do this.

And it wasn’t hard to guess, it must have something to do with that girl, Helena.

Saint Xis Academy was located deep in dragon territory, far from most tribal lands.

So, students there, whether in the junior or youth dragon department, all stayed at the school, only returning home on weekends or during the holidays.

That meant, during normal school terms, Noa would spend much more time with Helena at school than with Munen at home.

That’s why Munen was so eager to take the entrance exam for Saint Xis Academy.

Only by entering the academy could she become Noa’s little shadow again.

“But just self-studying, wouldn’t it be really hard to pass the entrance test for the academy?”

Xiao Guang said, “Big sister told me she had dad help tutor her.”

Munen paused her pen, placed it down, and turned to look at Xiao Guang, “But what if Dad doesn’t have time?”

Xiao Guang blinked and then grinned,

“How could a daughter slave like him not have time when his daughter comes to ask for help? Even if he’s stopping the apocalypse, if you go ask him, the apocalypse will have to pause for you.”

Munen laughed at Xiao Guang’s words.

She put her book away, then jumped off the chair, “I’ll go find Dad now.”

Munen grabbed a few books with review materials and jogged toward the door.

Seeing that their second sister had transformed from a lazy Buddhist mascot into an action-oriented person, Xiao Guang’s brain quickly started working.

After a brief brainstorming session, she grabbed a few books from the desk, hugged them to her chest, and followed after, “Second sister, wait for me!”

Meanwhile, in the practice yard behind the temple,

Leon continued to accompany Roseweiser in trying to channel the primordial power.

The couple sat on the ground, facing each other.

Roseweiser extended her hands, palms facing each other, and soon, a crystal-clear white light point began to flicker in her hands.

“Compared to a few days ago, there’s been great progress.”

Leon said, looking up at Roseweiser, “Is it difficult?”

Roseweiser shook her head, “It’s much easier now. I think I’m gradually finding the trick.”

“Mm, then let’s take a break. We’ve been practicing all morning.”

“Okay.”

Since Roseweiser was busy with work during the day, the couple could only squeeze some time in the morning and evening to practice the primordial power.

They rested for a while, ate breakfast, and then saw the Queen off to court.

“Let me see your hands,” Leon said.

“What for?”

“To see if they’re hurt.”

“Oh.”

Roseweiser obediently extended her hands.

Leon gently cupped her hands in his, feeling the coolness of the back of her hands, her skin delicate and smooth.

“Your hands are so small, Your Majesty, let’s compare.”

Roseweiser looked at him with a smirk, thinking, Does he think I can’t see through his little schemes?

Heh, childish.

“Okay, let’s compare.”

Roseweiser raised her hand, palm facing his.

And the next second, as expected, Leon inserted his fingers between hers,

Their ten fingers interlocked, and they couldn’t break free.

“Your hands are so cold, Your Majesty, let me warm them up for you,” Leon said in a heroic tone.

The Queen raised an eyebrow, smiling playfully, “Well, thank you then.”

“You’re welcome, Your Majesty. As your prisoner, this is my duty.”

“Is that so? Then my other hand is also cold, you can warm that one too.”

“It’s my duty, Your Majesty!”

Roseweiser smiled, slowly extending her other hand.
