Yesterday is boring, today is boring, tomorrow is boring, good storys are never boring!

Shut up, malevolent dragon! I don’t want to have any more children with you V3C37

Chapter 37: The house collapsed! My CP !

This time, they were doing three things in the interview:

Be low-key! Low-key! And definitely—low-key!

“As long as we perform a bit mediocre in the interview, ensuring the kids pass the test, and try to lower the interview score as much as possible, then we won’t be chosen as this year’s model family, and we won’t have to go on stage to give a speech.”

“Got it. Let the kids perform normally; this adult plan shouldn’t affect them.”

“Mm-hmm!”

“Do you have any specific thoughts? Like, what should we say in the interview?”

“Just say that I’ve lost passion for you over the past two years.”

León was stunned, “That’s too fake, Mother Dragon. How could you not have passion for me?”

Loisver nudged his chest, “I’m saying it for the success of the plan.”

“Oh… So, you still have passion for me, right?”

The queen rolled her eyes silently, “Say whatever you want, I can’t be bothered to argue with you.”

As the couple joked, they reached the interview room door.

They exchanged one last glance before pushing the door open.

The interview will begin soon.

Leon and Roswetha sat down, and the three interviewers from two years ago were still the ones in charge of interviewing them.

The two on the left and right still had serious expressions, but Vice-Principal Wilson was already full of excitement, seeming to eagerly anticipate how the Leon couple would perform this year.

Unfortunately, Old Deng, this year, you’ll be disappointed.

“If you’re ready, we’ll begin the interview,” the Vice-Principal said.

The couple nodded. “We’re ready, Principal.”

“Good.”

The Vice-Principal glanced down at the interview materials on the table, then said, “Let’s start with the most noticeable change in your family over the past two years.”

Hearing this, Roswetha was stunned and asked, “Principal, what do you mean?”

“The third princess, Aurora.”

The Vice-Principal said, “It’s quite rare for dragon families to consider having a second child, especially when the first child is twins. So I’m curious, what made you decide to have a second child?”

A reason?

If you count an unexpected pregnancy as a reason, then we might as well have a good talk about it.

The couple exchanged a glance, silently communicating.

Getting pregnant with Xiao Guang was indeed an accident, that’s an undeniable fact. But Leon and Roswetha both knew that, in this situation, they absolutely couldn’t tell the truth.

If the interviewers heard terms like “accidental pregnancy,” they might think that this couple is irresponsible when it comes to having children.

This would effectively lower their family interview score, but it could also cause Moon and Xiao Guang to fail the entrance exam.

So they needed to carefully consider how to answer this question.

After thinking for a while, Roswetha finally spoke.

“It’s like this: my husband and I have been married for many years, and we’ve been through many ups and downs. Our married life has slowly become less passionate over time. So we thought, could we do something to help us rekindle the passion we had for each other?”

“After trying a few things, we found that none of them worked.”

“At this point, my husband suggested that maybe we could have another child. Just like we did with Noya and Moon, we could raise Xiao Guang to be just as excellent.”

“I agreed to this suggestion, and then Xiao Guang was born.”

This explanation was a double-edged sword.

It completely avoided mentioning the “unexpected pregnancy” while also expressing the fact that their marital life had become dull.

After answering, Leon glanced at the far-right interviewer who was holding the scoring sheet. The interviewer was scribbling on the form, his brow furrowed, his expression serious.

It seemed like Roswetha’s answer didn’t quite meet his expectations.

Good, the effect was achieved.

But even though the effect was achieved, the couple overlooked a small flaw in this explanation.

“Since you decided to have your third daughter to rekindle your passion for each other, does that mean you feel differently about her compared to your first two daughters?” The interviewer on the left asked.

His words were very tactful, almost asking if the couple only viewed Xiao Guang as a tool to save their marriage.

For this question, Leon didn’t need to think too much and immediately replied.

“Our feelings for Xiao Guang are no different from our feelings for Moon and Noya.”

“Oh? But didn’t you have your third daughter to rekindle your passion?”

The interviewer played with an expensive pen in his hand, and compared to the strict CP Head Vice-Principal and the unsmiling scorekeepers, he seemed sharper.

This was normal, after all, in a serious interview, someone had to play the “bad cop.”

You couldn’t expect the Vice-Principal to play the bad guy, right?

If that were the case, after just a couple of rounds, Leon and his wife would have passed with full marks.

“Sir, from my perspective, the reason for having our daughter and the feelings we have for her after she was born are unrelated,”

Leon’s voice was deep and strong. “Do you think that parents who raised Noya into such an excellent young dragon are irresponsible?”

A timely rhetorical question could create the effect of posturing.

And Roswetha could tell that her husband was somewhat irritated by this “bad cop.”

Although this was their strategy to lower their score, it wasn’t comfortable to be questioned about their love for their daughter in front of a doting father.

It’s just that Leon wasn’t in the right during this interview, otherwise, he might have flipped the table and released a thousand birds (a metaphor for creating chaos).

The interviewer smiled faintly, lowered his head, and stopped playing with the pen, then wrote something on the paper.

“Miss Roswetha, you just mentioned that your married life became dull and that you lost the passion you once had for each other,”

The Vice-Principal furrowed his white brows. “After the third princess was born, did that situation improve?”

Roswetha smiled, raised her hand to smooth her hair, “It definitely improved, but to return to the state we had when we first got married, I’m afraid that’s very difficult.”

After she finished speaking, Roswetha subtly tapped Leon’s calf under the table.

Leon immediately understood and added, “To be honest, not only have we not returned to the state we were in when we first got married, even two years ago when Noya first started school, we might not have gone back.”

The couple cooperated seamlessly, dancing around the interview’s baseline.

You could say that they were on the brink of divorce, but they weren’t quite there yet.

But you could also say that their love was still burning fiercely, though it would be an exaggeration.

In short, it was very strange.

So strange that it brought their interview score close to “mediocre.”

Mediocre isn’t a bad word; this level was enough to pass the family interview and entrance test without being considered a model family.

The couple saw the interviewers’ reactions and secretly rejoiced.

It looks like this is going to work!

However, they figured out the scale of their words and the baseline of the interview, but they forgot to consider the CP Head, the Vice-Principal.

Old Deng took a few sips of water, seemingly forcing himself to calm down.

After a few more rounds of questioning, the two interviewers whispered into Wilson’s ear, saying everything was fine.

Wilson glanced at the scoring sheets in their hands. Though the scores were enough to pass the family interview stage, it was only just enough.

It was nothing like the overwhelming victory he had envisioned, where pure, solid love would crush all opponents.

The Vice-Principal took out a handkerchief from his suit pocket and wiped the sweat from his forehead.

He pressed his lips together and stared at the couple sitting before him.

They leaned back in their chairs, their legs crossed, looking calm and unhurried.

The scene was quite harmonious, but to the Vice-Principal, the CP he was pushing was already drifting further and further apart!

He pinched his fingers, hesitating for a moment, before gathering the courage to ask.

“I’d like to ask, do you two still love each other?”

Roswetha raised an eyebrow, “Love, of course.”

Leon nodded in agreement, “Although we don’t have the passion we once had, I still love my wife.”

They would never admit that they no longer loved each other.

Even without this “no social death plan,” perhaps they still wouldn’t admit it? — cough well, that’s hard to say~

However, although Leon and Roswetha both clearly expressed their feelings, the Vice-Principal believed that it was merely something they said to cope with the interview.

Old Deng secretly clenched his fist and thought to himself:

No.

This absolutely can’t happen!

The CP I’ve pushed, it absolutely cannot collapse!
