Chapter 38: Revive It! My CP! ( Part 1 )
After the interview ended, the couple left the room, closed the door, and then simultaneously exhaled in relief.
“Mission ‘No Social Death Plan’—Big Success!”
Clap—
They high-fived to celebrate.
But they quickly realized they were still in the vice-principal’s territory. After just describing their relationship as so ‘neutral’ in the interview room, it was hard not to suspect they were pretending when they immediately started high-fiving outside the door.
The couple walked through the crowd, down the stairs, and into the lobby on the first floor. There were still many parents here, waiting for their little dragons to finish their tests.
Leon glanced around, not seeing the vice-principal or any of his spies, so he leaned toward Rosevessa with a big smile, seeking praise.
“How was my acting just now?”
The queen crossed her arms and looked him up and down. She suppressed the smile that wanted to rise, pretending to be clueless, “What acting? Wasn’t that really what you felt?”
Leon froze for a moment, quickly retorting, “How… how could it be? Didn’t we agree? We were acting, pretending to have no passion for each other.”
“Oh? How do I know you weren’t just taking the opportunity to say what you’ve really been thinking all along?”
“Eh, Mother Dragon, you—”
Seeing the idiot man starting to turn red, Rosevessa quickly hit the brakes and raised her hand, gently placing her index finger on Leon’s lips, “Just kidding, look how flustered you got.”
“…”
She seems to be getting better and better at ‘stopping short’—not just in bed.
One of Rosevessa’s daily pleasures was teasing her dragon-slaying hero, watching his awkward and helpless expression. She found it very entertaining.
But as the old saying goes, “He who often walks by the river, how can he avoid getting his shoes wet?”
There were times when she really pissed him off.
At first, Rosevessa would coax him patiently; but after a while, she had figured out Leon’s temper. She knew when he would get mad, so she would quickly show weakness before he flipped out.
As soon as Rosevessa acted sweet, Leon immediately cooled down.
Don’t let his tough exterior fool you—this general truly dotes on his wife.
“Your acting really was quite good,” Rosevessa praised, “You portrayed the helplessness and sorrow of a married man so vividly, so deeply, and still made it feel like you were longing for our marriage. Tsk, tsk, tsk, the Empire owes you an acting award.”
“Mutual admiration, I thought you were really showing me no—”
He was about to joke back with his dragon-mother, but Leon almost blurted out something he shouldn’t have.
But it was already too late.
Rosevessa, with a smile on her face, folded her hands behind her back, leaned slightly forward, and looked at him with her beautiful silver eyes, “What? You thought I was no longer interested in you?”
“… Nothing.”
“Say it. Do you think I’ve really lost interest in you? Hmm?”
The queen’s smile deepened, “Oh, little lion is scared. How pathetic.”
“This academy has a real combat training ground, right?”
Rosevessa blinked, slightly surprised, “Yes… Why?”
“Let’s go fight, then you can shut up.”
“Tch~”
Rosevessa still wanted to tease her idiot man, but Leon suddenly made a ‘quiet’ gesture.
She immediately stopped smiling and lowered her voice, “What’s wrong?”
“Wilson that old guy just came down, he’s right behind you—don’t look back, pretend you didn’t see him.”
Rosevessa nodded, and they both subtly stepped away from each other.
After all, in the vice-principal’s eyes, they were now “a couple with little passion for each other.”
“Mr. Leon, Mr. Leon, I was looking for you!”
The vice-principal quickly approached.
“Is something wrong, Vice-Principal?” Leon asked politely.
“Ah… It’s nothing really, I just wanted to have a chat with you.”
The vice-principal paused and then hurriedly added, “It’s not related to the admissions interview or test, just a casual chat between friends.”
Leon had no idea what this old guy’s agenda was and looked toward Rosevessa.
She subtly nodded, signaling it was fine.
“Sure, let’s chat.”
“Then please step aside for a moment,” the vice-principal gestured toward a side room.
“Uh… alright, let’s go.”
“Miss Rosevessa, please wait here.”
“Mm.”
Leon followed the vice-principal into the side room.
The vice-principal stood by the door, looking around mysteriously before retreating inside and closing the door.
Leon raised an eyebrow.
What is this about?
Could it be that the vice-principal has evolved from a CP (couple pairing) head to a fanatical stalker, planning to lock me in here?
If that’s the case, you’d better think twice, because one of my “thousand birds” and this old bone of yours might not survive.
“Mr. Leon, I’d like to ask you, has your marriage with Miss Rosevessa really… encountered a crisis?”
“Ha?”
“Oh, what I mean is, have you encountered any emotional… issues?”
Leon crossed his arms and furrowed his brow in thought for a moment before replying, “We already explained our situation in the interview just now, Vice-Principal, this isn’t up for debate, right?”
Seeing that Leon didn’t give a direct answer, the vice-principal’s heart sank a bit.
“So… so… does that mean… you’re really getting a divorce?”
Leon:?
“Wait, wait, Vice-Principal, what kind of logic is this? How did you jump straight to divorce?”
“Ah? Mr. Leon, you didn’t give me a direct answer, so isn’t that an admission? You and Miss Rosevessa are having marital problems and are already considering divorce?”
“…”
“How could this happen? Mr. Leon… just two years ago, you were the model couple of the academy!”
“Vice-Principal… You—”
“Ah, it’s really unbelievable. The couple I was rooting for has turned out like this?”
“Vice-Principal?”
“How about this, Mr. Leon, I know a very professional marriage crisis management team. They have the top emotional experts of the dragon race. It’s said they made a 100-year-old male dragon fall in love with an 800-year-old female dragon. Their skills are exceptional. So, as long as you go, it’ll definitely solve the problem!”
“Why is this getting more and more ridiculous…”
“No, no, you and Miss Rosevessa are both smart people. Even if you don’t tell the truth to the emotional experts—”
…
Footnotes:
- “CP” – Refers to “Couple Pairing,” a term used in fandoms to describe pairing characters together, often used humorously or to describe romantic relationships that are ‘shipped’ by fans.
I absolutely love Wilson 😂😂😂 ahh man. I’m all caught up. Binging this was so worth it. I can finally sleep now
Wilson is more passionate with the couple than the couple itself. 😂
