The Cannon Fodder Turns His Sister Into A Soaring Phoenix C92

Chapter 92: Junior sister got the little book

When entering the spirit gathering formation, Pei Lianxue remembered it was early December. That day, there was a light snowfall in Xuanxing Sect. Looking from the platform in front of the spirit-gathering cave, half of it was snow-white, and half was grey-green.

Walking out of the Spirit-Gathering Cave and looking around from the platform, her eyes were filled with vitality, and her ears were filled with the chirping of spring birds. “It’s already spring… I’ve actually been building the foundation for almost five months?” Pei Lianxue exclaimed.

The wind gently ruffled Pei Lianxue’s long brown-black hair, and her orange eyes looked at the Tianyun Peak standing in the southeast of Xuanxing Sect. She squinted her eyes, stretched like a kitten, and thought about meeting her senior brother.

“Junior sister, marry me,” echoed in her mind, and she couldn’t help but wonder if it was possible, even though she knew it was unlikely. Pei Lianxue shook her head to clear these thoughts, took a deep breath, and noticed her tangled hair. She summoned a flying sword from her storage bag and headed back towards Tianyun Peak.

The triple courtyard in Tianyun Peak was quiet. Pei Lianxue dropped her sword into the courtyard and saw sheets and clothes hanging on the hangers. They seemed to be hers and appeared to have been washed yesterday but were not completely dry.

Senior brother couldn’t enter Xuanxing Sect, so it couldn’t be him who helped with the laundry. If not him, then who? Could it be the second fool? Pei Lianxue questioned his diligence.

At that moment, sweeping sounds came from her second bedroom. Pei Lianxue walked over, about to call out, “Two…” but stopped abruptly when she saw Ye Anping, her senior brother, sweeping the floor.

“Um?” Ye Anping looked at her with confusion, and Pei Lianxue was speechless. It couldn’t be her senior brother, could it? Ye Anping, however, put down the broom, opened his arms, and said, “Come.”

In a rush, Pei Lianxue approached and, with tears in her eyes, threw herself into Ye Anping’s arms. Ye Anping, prepared for the impact, let her hug him tightly. They ended up on the bed, and Ye Anping, not saying a word, gently stroked her hair.

After a while, Ye Anping finally spoke, “Haven’t you had enough hugs?”

Pei Lianxue shook her head and replied, “Hold me a little longer… it’s been almost five months.”

“Five months? So you plan to hold me for a week or two?” Ye Anping teased.

“Um…” Pei Lianxue nodded, and Ye Anping, with a helpless smile, relaxed and let her snuggle in his arms.

“By the way, do you remember what your senior brother told you before entering the Spirit-Gathering Cave?” Ye Anping asked.

“I haven’t forgotten. After building the foundation, I’ll use spiritual power to force out the remaining cold energy from the Cold Heavenly Sand. If the elders ask, I’ll say it was accidental,” Pei Lianxue answered.

“Um,” Ye Anping nodded, feeling reassured.

The method he had shared with Pei Lianxue was sufficient to conceal the matter of her spiritual roots from most of the elders in the Xuanxing Sect. Unless Si Xuanji or one of the five great elders, Yunxian, saw Pei Lianxue emerging from the cave, others were unlikely to suspect her “pure water spiritual root.”

After a while, Ye Anping gently held Pei Lianxue’s shoulders and lifted her. “Junior sister, haven’t you hugged enough?”

Pei Lianxue, still yearning for more hugs, responded, “Senior brother, I haven’t hugged enough…”

“You’re already an adult, and you’re still acting spoiled,” Ye Anping teased, tapping her nose. He then used his fingers to tidy up her messy bangs and, with a sword gesture, took out a delicate wooden box from his storage bag.

“Here, you’re fifteen now, and this is a gift from your senior brother.”

Pei Lianxue’s eyes sparkled as she took the box, anticipating its contents. She quickly untied the rope and opened it. However, her excitement turned to confusion when she found a book with the title “Erotic Pictures of Immortal Palace” on the first page.

“Pornographic Pictures of Immortal Palace?” She questioned, looking at Ye Anping. “What kind of book is this?”

“Just miscellaneous books,” Ye Anping explained, somewhat embarrassed. “Junior sister, this is not an ordinary comic strip. It can move. Pour some spiritual energy on it, and the figures will come to life.”

Pei Lianxue was uninterested and forced a smile, “Oh, thank you, senior brother.”

Ye Anping was unsure how to explain the book’s content and suggested, “If you don’t understand, you can ask Senior Sister Xiao. I got this book from her, thinking it might be meaningful to you.”

“Senior Sister Xiao!” Pei Lianxue was surprised, noticing that her senior brother wore the attire of a Xuanxing Sect companion disciple. “Senior brother, are you Yunluo’s companion?”

“Yes, on the day you and Feng Yudie entered the Spirit-Gathering cave, Senior Sister Xiao came to me and said I had become her companion. We went to the Hundred Lotus Sect together, and I built the foundation there.”

“You went back to the Hundred Lotus Sect together?”

“Yes.”

“Oh… I see,” Pei Lianxue nodded, diverting her gaze. She put the book back into her storage bag and stood up. “Senior brother, Elder Qin asked me to go to the city earlier.”

Ye Anping raised an eyebrow, “Let’s freshen up and change before heading out.”

“No need, I’ll wash up when I come back. It’ll be quick. Wait for me,” She replied.

Pei Lianxue smiled faintly, then walked out of the room, summoning the flying sword once again, soaring towards the direction of Zhongfeng.

Ye Anping sighed like an old father and stood up, continuing to help his junior sister tidy up the house.

Xiao Yunluo, currently in the kitchen, was preparing a heartfelt breakfast for herself and Ye Anping.

Though embarrassed for a few days due to a pornographic book, things gradually developed as she anticipated. Not necessarily filled with romance, but at least a simple and joyful connection.

In the morning, they attended early classes together, with Ye Anping sitting beside her, helping with ink and pen. At noon, they sat together in the courtyard, absorbing energy and discussing the day’s lectures.

In the evening, they meditated together, bathed separately, exchanged goodnights, and retired to their rooms.

Aside from holding hands, hugging, kissing, and cultivating together, they felt like an exceptionally compatible Daoist couple.

I wonder when Lianxue will come out… Should I try hugging him today? Xiao Yunluo thought.

With the rice dumplings ready in the lunch box, she prepared to call Ye Anping to class.

As she opened the door and stepped outside, seeing a woman standing in the yard made her hold her breath. The woman, wielding a spiritual sword, her face covered by long hair, emitted a strong sense of hostility.

If it were evening, Xiao Yunluo would likely scream in fright. Staring at the woman for a while, she recognised her as Pei Lianxue.

“Ah… Lianxue? Are you coming out?”

“Yes.” Pei Lianxue nodded and adjusted her hair, walking forward. “Yunluo, my senior brother, said he became your companion and is living with you…”

“…” Xiao Yunluo hesitated for a moment. Looking at the spiritual sword in Pei Lianxue’s hand, she said, “Well, yes. I was planning to surprise you.”

Pei Lianxue tilted her head ninety degrees. “A surprise?”

“Yes,” Xiao Yunluo said, “Don’t you like Young Master Ye? Since he can’t enter Xuanxing Sect regularly, I thought having him as my companion would allow you to meet him more often…”

Listening to this, Pei Lianxue’s eyes, initially filled with resentment, brightened.

“Is that so? Thank you, Yunluo.”

Xiao Yunluo was relieved and thought, It worked… but at the same time felt a sense of loss. It seemed her good days with Ye Anping were over.

“By the way, I made some pastries. Want to eat together?”

“No… My senior brother is still waiting for me. I’ll go back first.”

“Ah… um.”

After watching Pei Lianxue leave, Xiao Yunluo stood in the yard for a while, then returned to the house, contemplating her prepared breakfast. Eventually, she finished both portions.

After eating, she felt bloated, uneasy, and disappointed.
