The Cannon Fodder Turns His Sister Into A Soaring Phoenix C206

Chapter 206: Jiujiu to Yudie, who is she? Who are you?

As Su Yanyu hurriedly ran behind the pine tree to change her clothes, Feng Yudie walked back and prodded the four bodies with her sword, investigating thoroughly. After all, they were four mid-stage Foundation Building cultivators, and she was concerned they might have left some kind of trap behind. Therefore, she dared not leave anyone alive to inquire about the situation. However, she was starting to regret it.

If only I had known, these guys were so weak. I would have left one alive to interrogate, She thought.

Feng Yudie squatted down in front of one of the bodies, propping up her cheek with her hand and poking the person’s face with a nearby branch.

“Why did you want to kill me? I didn’t provoke you,” She questioned, knowing she wouldn’t get a response from the corpse. She then frowned, carefully recalling her recent encounters over the past few days. Apart from yesterday’s incident at the pavilion, there wasn’t much else worth mentioning. Most of her time was spent either drinking and eating roast chicken with Yun Jiujiu or getting into fights with her.

Considering the thunder talisman set by the attackers and their decisive actions, it was clear they were out to kill her, not kidnap or rob her.

Feng Yudie scratched the back of her head and looked up at the sky, addressing her weapon spirit, Xiao Tian.

“Xiao Tian, do you know anything about this?”

Xiao Tian descended after confirming no signs of life around and shook his head, indicating he didn’t know.

“I’ve been busy with renovations lately and haven’t kept up with what’s happening outside. How would I know? Think about whether you’ve offended anyone again,” Xiao Tian replied.

Feng Yudie pouted, feeling frustrated. “You’re useless, Xiao Tian. It would be great if Young Master Ye were here. He’d probably know what’s going on.”

Xiao Tian blinked, feeling somewhat dissatisfied. How could his master compare him to a young cultivator?

But then he shrugged it off. After all, it was good for Feng Yudie to rely on Young Master Ye! A great thing!

“Ah, right, right, right…”

Xiao Tian flew over to Feng Yudie with a mischievous grin, suggesting, “Why don’t you and Young Master Ye become Dao companions? Then you can ask him anything, and I’ll be free.”

“Get lost!” Feng Yudie swatted him away, annoyed. “Why do you always bring up Young Master Ye whenever you come out? You’re so irritating. Go back to your nest.”

“Ah—”

Xiao Tian shook his head and sighed before circling Feng Yudie’s head and retreating into its nest to warm itself by the fire.

Feng Yudie glanced around, thinking she would meet Ye Anping and Pei Lianxue later tonight. They had arranged to meet under a large ancient tree in the forest below the middle peak. She could ask them about the situation then.

At this moment, Su Yanyu also emerged from the forest after changing clothes. Her face no longer showed the panic from before, appearing much calmer, but she seemed to be suffering from internal injuries, her face a bit pale.

Su Yanyu walked up to Feng Yudie, her cheeks tinged with shyness as she once again expressed her gratitude,

“Mr. Feng… Do you have some time later? I don’t have many spiritual stones with me right now. Why don’t you come with me back to the house, and I’ll give them to you. I can treat you to dinner and drinks. What do you think?”

“It’s okay, it’s okay,” Feng Yudie waved her hand with a smile. “When you have the spirit stones, just come and give them to me. I won’t charge you any interest.”

“Um, thank you…” Su Yanyu nodded, her face still flushed. But the next moment, she staggered forward, catching Feng Yudie off guard. Quickly, she reached out and caught her, holding her close to her chest.

“Ah! Junior Sister Su, are you alright?”

“I’m feeling a bit dizzy… It seems I was injured by the thunder talisman just now…”

“How about I take you back?”

Su Yanyu pursed her lips. “Then I’ll trouble you, Mr. Feng.”

“It’s okay, it’s easy.”

With that, Feng Yudie prepared to carry her, but Su Yanyu hesitated as she looked at her face and added,

“Um… Mr. Feng, I… already have a Dao companion, so…”

“Huh!”

“No… It’s nothing…”

As Su Yanyu spoke, her eyes slowly closed, and she completely lost her strength, leaning heavily on Feng Yudie’s chest.

Feng Yudie tilted her head, not paying much attention. She knelt and extended her hand from behind Su Yanyu’s knees. However, just as she was about to lift Su Yanyu, a shout rang out from nearby, echoing through the forest.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa-!”

Feng Yudie turned to see a cute little girl with waist-length golden curly hair holding onto the trunk of a pine tree, staring at them in astonishment.

Seeing Feng Yudie looking her way, the little girl angrily ran over on her short legs. However, halfway there, she somehow stepped on her skirt, causing her to fall face-first into the snow. After wiping the snow from her face, she continued running.

Frowning, the little girl pointed at Su Yanyu in Feng Yudie’s arms and demanded, “Who is she?”

Feng Yudie stared at her momentarily, then asked, “Who are you?”

“I…” The little girl looked at her sky-blue dress and suddenly realized. “I’m Jiujiu.”

“You’re also called Jiujiu! What’s your relationship with Sister Jiujiu?”

“I’m your Sister Jiujiu,” Yun Jiujiu replied shyly. Then she took a deep breath, raised her little fist, and stared into Feng Yudie’s eyes. “I dressed up just for you! Is it nice?! If you dare say it’s not nice, I’ll punch you!!”

Feng Yudie shrunk her head and said, “If you want to punch me, I’ll say it looks good.”

Yun Jiujiu hesitated momentarily, then asked, “What if I don’t punch you? Do you think it looks good?”

Feng Yudie carefully examined Yun Jiujiu. The blue dress resembled the one worn by Junior Sister Pei, except for the long golden curly hair. Since it was Junior Sister Pei, it must look good!

She nodded quickly. “Yeah, it looks good.”

“Good, as long as it looks good…” Yun Jiujiu nodded and smiled. “I’ll get used to it for a while. Then I can wear it for you every day.”

“Huh! Why are you wearing it for me to see?”

Yun Jiujiu tilted her head and asked, “Didn’t you say it looks good?”

Feng Yudie didn’t quite understand, but she ignored it and pointed to the four corpses behind her, saying,

“Jiujiu, this group of people seems to want my life. Why don’t you help me check it out?”

Upon hearing this, Yun Jiujiu noticed the eight people lying nearby. She paused, then quickly approached, raising her eyebrows and poking one of them with the toe of her embroidered shoe.

After observing for a moment, she returned to Feng Yudie and asked, “Brother Yu, who are these people?”

“Why are you asking me? You don’t know them.”

“I know, but are you hurt?”

“No.”

Yun Jiujiu took a moment to realize that a group of people had infiltrated her Sword Wine Peak and attempted to surround and kill her Yu brother.

Suddenly, veins bulged on her forehead. She stomped the snow on the ground and shouted, “Help——!!!”

Her voice echoed, causing the surrounding pine trees to sway and snow to fall from their tops.

Feng Yudie’s ears buzzed momentarily, and she trembled, shrinking her head. Soon after, dozens of Sword Wine Peak disciples arrived, flying on their swords.

After landing, they looked around, their gaze passing over the three people standing there before finally approaching Feng Yudie.

The leader asked, “Master Feng, where is Sister Jiujiu? Didn’t she call us?”

Feng Yudie frowned for a moment, then raised her right hand, pointing her index finger at Yun Jiujiu, who stood by the corpses with her arms akimbo. “She’s over there~”

The Sword Wine Peak disciples turned to look at Yun Jiujiu. They all frowned, wondering in unison—Was that Sister Jiujiu? Where were her old clogs and dragon-patterned coat? Why was she wearing a floral skirt and embroidered shoes?

How did their Sister Jiujiu become so feminine?

“What are you standing there for? Go check it out!!! If we don’t figure out the identities of these people today, I’ll make each of you clean out your ears with your shit! Damn it, daring to do bad things right under my nose! I spit—”

Oh! She has yet to become feminine!… After hearing Yun Jiujiu’s outburst, the Sword Wine Peak disciples immediately came to their senses, bowing and responding, “Yes!!”
