Chapter 249: Senior brother, he is a bad person!
The moon and stars were scarce, with only a full moon visible hanging from the skylight of the main hall. Inside, the aroma of wine and roasted chicken filled the air.
Ye Anping sat with a speechless expression on one side of the table, while Yun Jiujiu, across from him, was already heavily intoxicated, occasionally burping alcohol in his direction. Her round face had turned red as if ripening.
Next to him, Feng Yudie wasn’t faring any better. She had devoured five roast chickens by herself and consumed quite a bit of strong liquor. Her belly protruded as if she were heavily pregnant, and she lay on the ground, already asleep.
“Burp… You can really hold your liquor~~ Even after drinking so much. You’re not even… not even showing any signs…” Yun Jiujiu hiccuped and teased, looking at Ye Anping with tired eyes.
“Oh… That’s…hiccup – Look at the feet!!!”
Boom—
Ye Anping raised his hand to catch Feng Yudie’s suddenly raised right foot, sighed softly, and replied to Yun Jiujiu, “This spiritual wine can be considered a kind of poison. It does not affect me.”
“Oh… That’s pretty good… Hiccup-”
Thump—
After her last sentence, Yun Jiujiu raised her head and collapsed onto the carpet. With her eyes closed, she fell asleep, snoring loudly.
Looking at the two now unconscious figures, Ye Anping wore a face of speechlessness mixed with resignation. He stood up, ready to get some fresh air outside.
Exiting the main hall, Ye Anping looked up at the sky, feeling somewhat puzzled. It was already night, so why had Yun Yiyi yet to return?
Normally, Yun Yiyi and her junior sister would only talk for a short time. Even if she wanted to talk to Yun Xi, she would likely be rejected.
Despite the Qiongfeng incident having eased tensions between Yun Yiyi and Yun Jiujiu, Yun Yiyi and Yun Xi were still at odds.
But why had Yun Yiyi yet to return by now? What could she and her junior sister be talking about for so long?
Ye Anping was a bit perplexed as he walked into the courtyard, gazing at the moon overhead. It was time to make the final preparations. Before Yun Yiyi and the others entered the forbidden area, he and his junior sister needed to go inside and set up some formations and traps to prevent them from falling into Yun Kunwu’s hands.
As Ye Anping pondered this, he suddenly heard two light footsteps approaching from behind. It made him slightly more alert, but when he recognized the footsteps as Yun Yiyi’s, he relaxed and pretended not to notice, continuing to gaze at the moon.
“Young Master Ye, why are you alone outside?” She asked.
“Just came out for some fresh air. They’re both drunk,” He replied.
Ye Anping turned to look at Yun Yiyi, trying to discern what she might have discussed with her junior sister earlier, but unfortunately, Yun Yiyi wore her usual smile.
Yun Yiyi walked up beside him, following his gaze to the full moon in the sky. She then leaned her head against his shoulder and said, “The moon is really beautiful tonight.”
“Yes, a rare full moon,” Ye Anping replied casually, but he suddenly felt Yun Yiyi gently spreading his fingers apart and slipping her hand into his palm.
Pausing for a moment, he asked, “Did Miss Yun go to find the third lady at Xiri Peak?”
“Yes,” Yun Yiyi nodded. “I talked to Yun Xi about going to the forbidden area afterwards, and I also chatted with your junior sister.”
“What did you talk about?” Ye Anping inquired.
“It was nothing,” Yun Yiyi replied, slightly lowering her gaze and leaning closer to Ye Anping. “I originally thought she would be hostile towards me, considering I took you away from her. But we ended up having a pleasant conversation. She told me some things about you.”
“Um… What did she say about me?” Ye Anping asked.
“About your true nature.”
“My nature!”
“She said you were a scoundrel. When she was younger, you would twist her bones, feed her poisonous bugs, and beat her until she was bruised and swollen…” Yun Yiyi squinted her eyes and chuckled. “Even though Young Master Ye appears refined, I didn’t expect this side of him in private.”
“…”
Listening to Yun Yiyi’s words, Ye Anping’s expression remained unchanged, but internally, he was stunned. He never expected his junior sister to say such things.
With a bitter smile, he responded, “Miss Yun, my junior sister must be joking. I don’t have such hobbies.”
“Is that so?” Yun Yiyi tilted her head, staring at Ye Anping’s face. “But I feel that between you and Sister Pei, you are the one who’s more likely to be lying.”
“Why do you think that?” Ye Anping asked.
“It’s just a feeling. During the time I’ve spent with Young Master Ye, I always get a sense of unreality,” Yun Yiyi explained.
“That’s just how I am,” Ye Anping replied.
Yun Yiyi pressed her lips together and leaned her forehead on Ye Anping’s shoulder. “I don’t mind. If Young Master Ye likes, you can treat me like you do, Sister Pei. I’m quite curious…”
“Um!”
“Just kidding,” Yun Yiyi shrugged lightly and said, “Come with me, I’ll show you something.”
“Watch something!”
Without responding, Ye Anping Yun Yiyi just smirked and then took Ye Anping’s hand, running along the corridor. Ye Anping didn’t resist, allowing Yun Yiyi to lead the way. However, he had an inkling of what she wanted to do.
As they ran, Ye Anping took a small spice bottle from his bag and slightly opened its mouth, letting a delicate floral scent waft into the air.
After several dozen steps, Yun Yiyi led Ye Anping to a guest room in Yunjiu Mansion.
“Here.”
“This is a guest room!” Ye Anping pretended to survey the dimly lit room and asked, “Why did Miss Yun bring me here?”
“There’s a reason,” Yun Yiyi replied.
Yun Yiyi pushed the door open with one hand and led Ye Anping into the room before releasing his hand and closing the door behind them.
“Miss Yun, what are you…” Ye Anping began, but then he noticed Yun Yiyi’s actions.
In the next moment, Yun Yiyi pulled out her hairpin and loosened her belt, causing her blonde hair to cascade and her clothes to loosen, revealing a bit more of her figure.
Yun Yiyi bit her lip and looked up. “Young Master Ye, let’s practice dual cultivation.”
Ye Anping remained expressionless, his hand subtly adjusting the spice bottle hidden in his sleeve.
Seeing Ye Anping’s lack of response, Yun Yiyi approached, pushing back her robe and stepping closer.
“Young Master Ye, I…” She started.
However, when she was three steps away, Yun Yiyi suddenly felt drowsy, her vision blurring and multiplying.
Simultaneously, a wave of sleep washed over her, and before she could comprehend what was happening, her eyes closed, and she slumped forward.
Ye Anping quickly caught her and laid her gently on the bed, covering her with a blanket.
“Miss Yun, once this is over, I’ll give you an explanation you’ll believe, but not now,” He said softly before turning to attend to other matters.
Then he returned to the door, picked up the dresses Yun Yiyi had just taken off, folded them neatly, and placed them back on the pillow. He pushed open the door to the guest room and walked out.
“Sigh–“
He exhaled deeply, then looked up at the sky. However, just as his gaze focused on the moon, a surge of heat suddenly rose from his Dantian.
Ye Anping furrowed his brow slightly, realizing immediately that the settlement from Qiong Feng had arrived.
“At a time like this,” He muttered.
Quickly brainstorming solutions, he simultaneously checked the condition of the yang energy in his meridians with his inner consciousness.
Probably due to the increase in his cultivation, his meridians could now accommodate more yang energy than before. So, this time, it wasn’t as swift as in the past, but it was definitely something Feng Yudie couldn’t suppress with her true energy alone.
Ye Anping glanced back at the door behind him, hesitated for a moment, shook his head, and then summoned his flying sword. At the same time, he ingested a heart-clearing elixir to suppress the yang energy and swiftly headed towards Xiri Peak.
